How didn't he tell it well? The second verse describes his hunger as an underground battling emcee, the reaction he got from Infinite's reception and as a result, his not-give-a-fuck attitude has gotten Dre's attention:

Seems like the third verse is describing right before SSLP dropped with the "This world ain't gonna know what hit it" line.

I know right, I thought he did a fuckin great job of telling the story. Those lines "I'm back for revenge/I lost a battle that ain't happening again/I'm at your throat like strep/I step, strapped with a pen" is some of the best imagery and emotive content he has created since his comeback.
