Yelawolf vs Obie Trice

Two good artist, who do you prefer? My choice is Yelawolf cause I think he is more artistic, original, and just overal better at lyrisim. Not to take anything from Obie, they both are the best signed to Shady

Yelawolf just because i find him and the hole southern thing separates him from being average and not really any one that sounds like him out there.

I like yela, but Obie's the shit. :y: Cheers, Rap Name, Dope/Jobs/Homeless & his freestyles are the shit. Overall, I'd say Cheers is better than Radioactive. Radioactive is good, but not as good.
Obie is soooo underrated.

Yela, to me Obie was nothing more than a below average MC with below average production. No matter how many Em, Nate, Dre, or 50 features he still couldn't keep a song going, with exceptions of course.

Obie Trice's "Cheers" was great. His early stuff after being signed to Shady was so dope. I notice a lot of people don't really feel "Second Round's on Me" but I think it's really good too and most of it sounds different then a lot of other music offered from Hip Hop. I wish he was still on Shady, but it was probably best he moved on.

As of right now, I still like Obie more than Yela... however Yela is growing on me and I've only bumped Radioactive once compared to hundreds of times bumping Cheers... so really, time will tell for me.

It's wrong to compare this Artist in the 1st place. Obie is in the game from a very long time and is well experienced.

I'm going with Obie. Cheers > Radioactive. But Obie's been in the game for a minute.

Really? Obie has more? He is amazing and all but he doesn't do anything extremely innovative such as Yelawolf. He only added on to that Gangster rap sound, did it way better than 50 cent. But hell, Obie never tried reaching to far for innovation as Yela. I guess cause not many people love yela yet and Obie was from that "prime" era of Eminem y'all worship. Seriously, I believe Yelawolf is the best signee to hit Shady Records. Not the most popular but hopefully that changes. That being said, I still love O Trice, dope and underrated I just don't think he is better than Catfish Billy. All love goes to out to Obie, I support everything he does so don't say I'm a hater but Radioactive & Yelawolf > Cheers & Obie. Obie had better features though and some CRAZY beats.

Snoop Dogg fell off the hardest of any artist in any genre I've ever seen. I don't think he can't do the things he once did before but he doesn't care to any more seeing as rap has gone to shit and lyrical ability and raw talent doesn't sell in the music industry any more. Hence the collaboration with Wiz, who also was a decent rapper until he saw more money in being shit. I know Snoop Dogg can do shit he used to do. Kush & Drug Test, he only tries when he wants now though. And this will be the down fall of Slaughterhouse if they come in doing straight lyrics, no topics, no stories, nothing comprehendible to non-rap listeners, and don't care about the quality of their beats. But I hope Eminem knows this and makes them compromise a bit, I'm sure they will have a good record but it wont be anything close to Radioactive imo due to me think of Yelawolf as better artist. If you think about, Yelawolf it the best artist and he has above average lyrics (not the best though in anyone's books but they still really good and he will improve with time), and Slaughterhouse is lyrical giants with less artistic touch unless they are guided. Eminem is sort of the combination of these two worlds (I think he the best too to ever combine them, first 3 albums had best shit in hip-hop imo), and 50 Cent I guess he is just catchy. They have the potential to be the best but I don't think it'll happen. Also, Shady Records doesn't seem like a family to people who don't follow them either, unlike YM. That really influences how people buy. Really Shady might be the most talented label, no doubt. But they don't feel unified. I mean did 50 cent ever meet Yela? Is 50 cent even part of Shady any more? Doesn't seem like he cares about it's well being, only his own. I mean, being a juggernaut on that label he should contribute and promote as well. He could have brought Yela on TV with him, he's on a lot now a days anyway promoting shit. And now that I'm done venting, when does 50 cent come out with an album?
