He left out "barkin' dogs" cuz Proof was meant to have filled that gap for him while he caught his breath.

Not sure he is "drugged up" - he just looks a little tired to me.

Yeah, perhaps they were expecting the audience to fill in too? Seemed like it to me.

He also sounds tired as fuck, those TES era performances were outrageous and that verse is pretty difficult to do - I haven't heard him do it as perfectly since it first came out. His 2000 BET performance of it is probably his best version live I've seen.
