When I'm high, I jump around. I'm crazy. I laugh a lot.

But Em just seems so calm and collective.

Excluding the times when he was high off E or another similar drug [and we don't know how often he did those], I'm pretty sure he was mostly on depressants, like alcohol, Vicodin, Valium, Xanax [marijuana also has depressant properties, although it's really unclassifiable], etc - particularly because he's said he took drugs before performances to calm his nerves. They wouldn't make him hyper or anything like that, they make you calm.

TBH, I'm surprised he remembered all his lyrics while high.

It's no surprise to me that he remembered all his lyrics. Whenever I'm high, and an Eminem song is playing, I'm usually the first to rap to it.

As said, Eminem was pretty much only taking downers. But everybody still reacts different to different medicine. I take Hydro's/Norco's which knock a lot of people out but it works as an upper for me. Which is opposite of 99% of people.

Who know's exactly what he was doing and at what time's though. Especially at first before he developed a "habit"...It never really effected him negatively.

Who says he was high during SSLP and MMLP performances? And his SSLP performances were pretty hyperactive.

He was always high during his SSLP and after; read 'The Way I Am' and he admits as such. If you watch videos of him on the Warped Tour, it's plain to see.

Incidentally, who's to say he remembered all his lyrics? A fair number of times he didn't, and Proof would fill in the blanks or the crowd would. I'm not suggesting that he forgot his lyrics a lot, but the comments above suggest that he was a perfectly scripted performer. He was quite the opposite (in a good way).

I don't think Em was on drugs as much as we may've thought tbh.

I remember hearing in the news at the time (I can't remember exactly when it was) that he got arrested for having a gun or something, so he wasn't allowed to take drugs for like a year or something, and that he'd have police checking on him all the time to see if he'd taken any drugs.

It was a long time ago, so I might've remembered wrong, but if that was actually true, then he must've spent a year without doing drugs, since he didn't end up in prison.

And weed is actually better/less dangerous than alcohol in a lot of ways...it's only very slightly psychologically addictive, and not physically addictive at all, whereas alcohol is a poison that ruins your organs over time AND is addictive. /lecture

Wouldn't weed get rid of brain cells like alcohol does? I mean, I know it's not as bad for your lungs as cigarrettes are. Again, i dont really know. I guess I should stop talking about it then before I look stupider lol.

That's debatable. There have been a bunch of studies done that show that you'd have to take like 200x the normal dose to damage the structure of your brain. Using it a lot doesn't damage the structure of your brain, but there could be microscopic damage that MRIs can't catch. Marijuana does hurt your ability to remember things long-term, though, especially in high doses.

I don't do drugs either.

But I don't think it's that big a problem. Drug usage is decreasing around the world compared to 10 years ago, and from personal experience, I don't know anybody who does drugs (even weed). Well, only alcohol, but even then, not that much.

So the future looks bright, if anything.
