The beats on the mixtape are crazy :worship: :worship:

Love the Queens NY song
I wanted an album so rugged nobody could touch it.
Spent a million a track and went over my budget.
Now how in the fuck am I supposed to get out of debt?
I can't rap anymore, I just murdered the alphabet.

Damn it, *****, a discussion thread already exists.

@Geno: That's 50's choice. He's always released his his mixtapes independently or with an independent label.

I haven't given it a proper chance yet and I will later, but from what I've heard so far from the tracks released I don't think I can stand to listen to it.

This kind of gangsta rap is just an absolute bore to my ears. It's just so monotonous and lacking in creativity or innovation, it's a snooze to listen to.

Just mumbling about gats and aggression and nikkas and money, yawwwwwn.

It's not just about content either as any kind of subject-matter can be fun to listen to if executed well but I just find this stuff really really boring to my ears. It feels so predictable and uninteresting. Just constant talk... 50 always goes on about the golden-era of rap, well where's his concepts, his inspiration, where's his desire to be original. Just constant bragging and nonsense.

He did say "if executed well" though

In 50's peak i use to be a HUGE fan of him(and Gunit) but since then ive changed drastically when it comes to my taste in hip hop(except for Eminem i will always be a fan of him).

I know many people can have their taste in music change as they get older, but i just look back at what i use to listen to 5 years ago(50, Gunit, Wayne, etc.) and think to myself how could i have liked any of them.

I mean looking back on Get Rich or Die Tryin'......the lyricism is HORRIBLE. Yeah we get it "50 makes great hooks blah blak blah"....But damn this guy's lyricism is just embarrassing :facepalm

I know many musicians have the similar subject matter for most of their discography, but i honestly think 50 is one of the LEAST CREATIVE musicians(not just rappers) in history....and im not exagerrating.

Yeah but they do it well. Kanye makes it entertaining and the music is enjoyable.

50 just mumbles the same shit he's been saying forever, badly, and slaps a hook on it.
