Hmm, I'd say Nas for absolutely obvious reasons. With the exception of parts of Streets Diciples and N*****, he has been fire for a decade now, and the Nasty single was him proving himself once again. He once talked about the Life Is Good album having a musical feel of the 90's and collaborations with legends such as Scarface so there is no doubt in my mind that this is going to be something special.
Talib Kweli is another one I expect great things from. Gutter Rainbows wasn't his best album by any means but it had its fair share of great songs. The soulful beats somewhat made up for the, in my opinion, boring songwriting. Prisoner of Consciousness sounds like a great concept.
Oh, and of course Saigon. His next mixtape has just gotten its official release date and if he stays the same, this is going to be another memorable release from the NY native. One of the brightest hope for modern hip hop these days.
