Get Rich or Die Tryin' is a good album by a bad artist.

Anyway, I would say...

Radioactive by Yelawolf. It's harsh to call it a 'bad' album... as there are some great tracks and moments on it. But there's some real missteps and the album goes downhill from track 6, it feels like Encore in the sense that its intent is muddled, it feels compromised and confused.

Such a disappointment.

you say it goes downhill from track 6, I say it's the complete opposite tbh

these tracks:

-Radio
-Write Your Name
-Made in the U.S.A.
-Animal
-The Last Song

(along with Growing Up in the Gutter), are my favorite on the album

"Good Girl" is the stinker which makes it feel as such. It breaks the flow and rhythm of the album.

The track was forced, and it was obvious from day one. Yela didn't even want to do it, he let people talk him into doing it. Such a shame that this is what 'art' has come to - forcibly conforming to presumptive wishes of faceless audiences. Fucking money ruins everything.

"Made in the USA" is good, it's a good concept.

I also like "Animal", "The Hardest Love Song in the World" is not good to me and then "Write Your Name" also just feels contrived. Though the concept is okay.

I like "Radio", LOVE "Slumerican Shitizen".

It's so clear which tracks came from his heart and which were attempts at radio. I don't give a shit whether a track is an attempt at radio or not as long as it's good, but half of these tracks fit, and half don't. It sounds muddled and he sometimes sounds out-of-place and confused.

"Growin' Up in the Gutter" and "Slumerican Shitizen" are the Yela I want to hear, and the two best tracks on the album to me. And it's a crime he took "No Hands" off. All those tracks have a similar vibe, they're gritty and if he had stayed dedicated to this theme, I think it'd be a classic.

I don't see how Nas got on this list? He never fell off or anything, they just underrated because he didn't make another stillmatic or illmatic. It's fucking bullshit that he's on here.

I also forgot to add that No Mercy wasn't bad either, it was had decent to good tracks, no classics, but still. Come on people, I mean I'm not a fan of the album because it had some ups and downs. For example it had some really good lyrics to some bad ones (Pledge to the Swag or whatever that song is) and some really annoying beats and then some really good ones. But besides one song, imo it's a decent album.

I really liked to bump some songs.

- No Mercy (Great hook, good beat, and some decent verses to go along)
- Big Picture (liked the beat, and Tip's verses, and the hook, wasn't a fan of the feature but he was ight)
- I Can't Help It (dido of big picture)
- Welcome to the World (loved everything bout this track except cudi didn't spit a verse)
- That's All She Wrote - Love both Eminem and Tip on this, it didn't mix though sadly like i wished it would, amazing beat, and good hooks.
- How Life Changed - Didn't give it many listens cause i thought it was annoying to listen to [beat reasons], however i thought the lyrics were decent [that was a judgement from one listen so don't quote me on that]
-Strip - Same as above but I'd add that it's very unoriginal.
-Salute - I love everything about this song.
-Amazing - Song was alright but I found it boring.
-Everything on Me - I thought it was going to be an amazing beat from it's beginning but it turned for the worse and was average, and the verse and hook were a average to less than, but it had some funny lines "I have a ding dong like king kong" However, very over done.
-Get Back Up - Only like that it's motivational, found this one very annoying and lack luster.
-Lay Me Down - Hate it, annoying. IMO the album's low along with Pledge Allegiance.
- Castle Walls - Best song in all regards on the album, still don't like Alex the Kid though.
- I'm Back - Average
- Yeah Ya Know (TAKERS) - Not the best song but I like it, catchy.
-Got Your Back - I think it was average but enjoyable.
-Ya Hear Me - Alright, not my taste.
-Pledge Allegiance - Good beat, hate the feature, and the lyrics as average. I view it as the low but I know people who disagree.
-Follow Your Dreams- Third favorite song from the album, very enjoyable.

Really, only two bad song imo. Shouldn't be on here.

I respect him a producer but viewing him as a lyricist that's introspective with creative stories and lyrics he is very unoriginal and is the equivalent of the the byproduct of the periods of twelve sluts mixed together with the shit of rap's elephants (the elephants being Tech N9ne, Eminem's prime, Dr. Dre when he was in music, Jay-Z's prime, 2Pac's concepts, and Biggie's talent, etc.) But seriously, I personally never got into his music but I recognize him as an amazing producer and horrible rapper outside flow. He gets overhyped way to much.

Edit: I guess you could say his rapping is santorum, "The frothy mix of lube and fecal matter that is sometimes the byproduct of anal sex."

I always feel Kanye gets slightly overrated as a producer since he will do the whole Puffy type sample where he copy pastes a beat and barely changes a thing. It kinda ruins a song for me when I look up the samples and find basically the same; though Kanye doesnt usually do this since he started having other producers help him (post CD)

I see what ya say but he does some innovative things in the production field, he just won't go down as a legend and I honestly I don't care if he does. There are loads that are better than him. But I will say he has cool music videos.

True, I'm not saying Kanye doesnt innovate, MBDTF was a huge step up for me on the production front. The truth is I dont care about the whole "copy/paste" shit if the rap is good, only problem is Kanye doesnt always provide that (MBDTF having very few actual verses from Kanye might be the reason I love it so much :D )
