Jew is a member of jewish nation. they also call themselves Children of Israel. so it's like nationality and they have their religion - judaism, so we can say it's ethnical and religious group of people..


Hitler thing: Hitler used to say there's only one race that is the best: nordic race, so he was tryin to exterminate jewish ppl, cuz he thought they're something worse - holocaust. Hitler n nazis considered them as a race.


but Jews aren't really a race.. they come from semitic tribes, who lived in Israel, so it's a nationality.. hope u get it

i'm sorry, but i don't completely agree with u, to be a jew is not about nationality, it's about religion / social group as Asp n Maybe stated - u can be an American jew, then American is ur nationality just like jews living in Israel are Israelis by nationality

u use the term jew when focusing on their religion, the term hebrew when the focus is on language

definitions of a Jew may vary. the main fact is that Jew is either born into the Jewish people or becomes one through convertion.

so if ur born in USA n your parents are americans then ur an american too usually. if your parents are german, you're automatically german either. if your parents are jewish then ur jewish too [at least from religious point of view]
