I can say that yours looks a lot cleaner.

That one's cool, but it looks like he just took someone else's artwork of a cassette and slapped some text on it. The text doesn't match the texture and doesn't line up with the parallel lines of the tape. You really shouldn't just take other people's art.

What's that background then? :shifty:

An image from an open license stock photo site, and it's significantly changed. I don't fuck with just taking someone's artwork and slapping your text on it. That's lame. It's been tastefully done by some indie bands with famous artists' works, but finding a random pic on Google isn't cool. Especially if you got called out for it.

These are the pics I used, both free license:

Ah, so you made significant changes then. :y:

I'm still not using it. :smoking:

I really don't care, I'm doing these edits to get practice for myself.

It's also considered polite to say thank you when some one does something for you (aka two photoshopped pics you couldn't have done yourself).

Yeah, I think Sam's concept was better but none of it was his. FreeSpeech's is cleaner, the layers work together better, but I don't feel the concept as much. I mean, a randomly placed cassette in a sky? Try out some grunge and abstract brushes on your work FreeSpeech (unless you already do). Keep at it :y:

Oh shit, sorry.

Thank you, FreeSpeech. :flutter:

EDIT: I can use Photoshop, I just don't. To be honest, I could've done it myself, but I wanted to see what someone could create from a different perspective.

Ya I don't like the idea, that's what he wanted. A picture of a tape FOR a tape is just kinda cliche not matter what you do. It looked cooler with just the sky and some different text. I like my covers to be distorted/altered photos with maybe something in the foreground, like the one I did with the statue and jungle.

You caught me on the spot for that one, tbh.
