I mean, Eminem was young and restless and rebellious. He was only 26 when the SSLP came out and 27 with the Marshall Mathers LP. But it isn't just recently. Compare The Eminem Show to The Marshall Mathers LP. There was definitely a change of attitude there. While still rebellious and everything, you didn't see nearly as much raping/killing women, comic violence, etc., but more focused on his personal life and politics. When TES came out, he was 29, slowly coming of age. Encore had practically no misogynistic or extremely violent lyrics at all; merely comical (partially because of drugs) and more mature lyrics. He had just turned 32 when the album came out. Now he released Relapse at 36 and Recovery at 37.
Obviously, he should sound much more mature and different 11 years later from his first major debut album (and I didn't even include Infinite on here). It's just age. 26, he was broke and struggling for money and just got signed, divorced with his wife, etc. Marshall Mathers, he was struggling dealing with his new life in fame. After that, as far as anger, he settled down a bit. I'd sure hope that 40-year old Em is more mature than his 27-year old self.
Not to say Eminem isn't angry or loves talking about killing women etc. on his new material, but it's not quite the same drive or anger he had when he was younger. That's just my opinion.

Thinking I would never make it and lose with the white eyes
But this formula I created proved I was Einstein
Now I've done more shit than you'd ever do in your lifetime." - Hopsin
