^ That process of quoting each part of your post just annoys me so I'll do it in this way even if it doesn't look really better.
Edit: Had to do it.
About XQ28, please, read this. Study made by George Rice.

Several lines of evidence have implicated genetic factors in homosexuality. The most compelling observation has been the report of genetic linkage of male homosexuality to microsatellite markers on the X chromosome. This observation warranted further study and confirmation. Sharing of alleles at position Xq28 was studied in 52 gay male sibling pairs from Canadian families. Four markers at Xq28 were analyzed (DXS1113, BGN, Factor 8, and DXS1108). Allele and haplotype sharing for these markers was not increased over expectation. These results do not support an X-linked gene underlying male homosexuality.
Finally, in 1999, George Rice and George Ebers published their data. In the April edition of Science, the scientists show that their results, “do not support an X-linked gene underlying male homosexuality” (Rice et al., 1999 and Wickelgren, 1999). They found that the gay brothers looked at by the Hamer group were no more likely to share the Xq28 markers than would be expected by chance. This officially sounded the death-knell for the optimism held by Hamer et al. and others looking in this region for the gene leading to homosexuality.
MikeNUFC wrote:Wow. Where to start. Africans dying is because of poverty and the the terrible wealth distribution through out the world. Not to mention this is only a 'deterrent' (hate using that for this) in areas of one continent. Although it'll take a ridiculous amount of time, mass poverty can be prevented. You can't stop people being born gay (I refer you back to XQ28).
And yes gay people can have kids. But many choose not to. Surrogate mothers aren't just as easy as that. Obviously far less gay people have kids than straight people. Hence the deterrant argument.
Of course they're dying because of
that. It's a deterrent when a big part of a population is dying because of it. Many chose not to because it's illegal, if you think once it'll be legal and socially accepted they won't do it you're just lying to yourself.
Is it the only good reason as why gay exists?
MikeNUFC wrote:I wouldn't like it if anyone randomly decided to hug me. I wouldn't like it if a straight man or a gay man did it. How is this relevant in any way?
I said you meant 'some' you absolutey moron. Read.
It is relevant because even without knowing you, I know how you would react. You would be disgusted, and wouldn't act friendly at all.
MikeNUFC wrote:Who's making assumptions now? Plenty of gay people act completely normal. I know a few, in fact. And they're not trying to hide their 'camp-ness'
One of my best friend was gay. So when he hang out with some of his gay friends, I saw that a lot of them had really weird and feminine geistures. Does that mean they all do it, no.
I meant hide it as acting normal, not acting all feminine so people actually notice you're gay on the first sight.
MikeNUFC wrote:A lot of traits in people, gay or straight, piss me off. But I don't take an aspect of that person and judge them for that trait. That's ridiculous.
Yes, some gay people act over the top and camp. Some straight people act really tough and macho. I hate that, but I don't judge all straight people on it. Do you see where I'm coming from?
Totally, I totally see it and you're right. I hate machos too. I might overreacted a bit.
MikeNUFC wrote:Paedophiles are usually of an odd mental state. The same as serial killers and the like. The brain is wired wrong and this is usually the cause of these issues. They're not 'normal' because of this. I'm not the type to judge people on this, because it makes me seem superior, and I'm only that because of chance and nothing else. (this is a different debate though)
Gay people just have a gene which means they're attracted to men. This is so far different it's unreal. 1 in 10 people are gay. This is so high, that to not see them as normal is completely ridiculous, when they function in society like anyone else.
There are like 2/3% of people in the whole world who are gay. Not 1/10.
^ Not getting into that debate then. No proof of gay gene yet though.
The more rigorous studies have shown different results within a range of 0.6 to 5.4 percent. These studies include Bell-Weinberg, 1970 (~2 percent); Billy-Battelle, 1993 (1.1 percent); Cameron-Ross, 1975-78 (~3 percent); Catania-NABS, 1992 (2 percent); FRI, 1983 (5.4 percent); MacDonald, 1988 (2 percent); NCHS, 1988-91 (3.5 percent); Schmidt, 1987 (0.6 percent); and Trocki, 1988-89 (3 percent).

MikeNUFC wrote:The fact that being gay is natural and that there is no choice, perhaps?
No. It's because not accepting gay people is bad nowadays, and because we have to conform to gay activists opinions if we don't want to get bashed.
I'm off to sleep right now, I'll answer tomorrow.
