Alabama rapper Yelawolf, who was admitted to a hospital earlier this month and canceled several planned tour dates due to then-undisclosed illness, is recovering from a ruptured spleen, according to Interscope Records.
A Fuse-TV press release confirms that the Eminem protege has now called off a planned Friday (3/16) performance at Shady Records' SXSW showcase at the Austin Music Hall in Austin TX, which will be livestreamed on the Fuse YouTube channel.
Though Yela is off the bill, 50 Cent is still scheduled to perform his entire debut album live at the show. Others scheduled to perform include Slaughterhouse, Big K.R.I.T., Schoolboy Q, Action Bronson, Don Trip, S.T.S. and The Foodchain, along with unnamed special guests.
Yelawolf has been sidelined since he checked himself into a hospital following his March 2 concert in Madison, WI.
