Hmmm...
Yeah, that's kind of how I was with The Smiths before I realized Morrissey was a douche.

AbramIsaac wrote:Same thing with Morrissey. Decent songwriter, but his voice and style annoyed the shit out of me.
But on his messages, what exactly annoys you?
His position on tokers was a little heavy handed for my tastes, but then he signed Dizzy Wright.

& him bitching about rappers like Lil Wayne, and others. If you don't enjoy something, then don't bring it more attention by mentioning it. I know most people don't agree with my philosophy on that subject, so I don't hate him for that
It just prevents me from taking a serious liking to him.

I like how Hopsin is confident enough to say he that he doesn't do drugs. (I have been drug free for a while now and finally feel I am confident to say to a chick or someone you wanna look cool in front of that I am drug free)
I see how people can take it as him saying 'you're an idiot if you're a dopehead' but I think the message In Noc rainbow that you were referring to was more about how people are hypocrites about it.
As you mentioned, by signing Dizzy (and even Swizzz smokes a bit) I think that shows he's not fully against people doing it. Its just he personally doesnt do it and he has problems with people being hypocrites and also people complaining about shit when they are getting shitfaced every weekend.

I been wondering why he sounded familiar.

I'd say you're mostly right, for sure. I admire him for saying what he believes, and for trying to be a positive force. As long as he doesn't get all judgmental (as he has on Twitter) I don't have a problem with him at all. He's more or less cool in my book.
Now, onto this Funk Volume vs The Jokerr thing. Thoughts, anyone?
I finally checked out The Jokerr...he makes good songs, for sure. His writing is good, and his flow is nice too. He's a talented guy, and he puts a lot of work into his art. He's creative, and motivated.
BUT. I don't like his delivery voice. It's forced...like a bad Batman impersonation. Aside from that, the whole Jester thing is fine and all, but seeing him actually rapping in an outfit like that (every time) makes him look just as gimmicky as a juggalo, but without the low IQ and random need for violence.
Also, as a person? He seems like a douche. He seems very self-righteous. Everything he does is right, in his eyes at least. He would probably admit a mistake begrudgingly, but only after spending 20 minutes talking about how wrong everyone else is. Maybe I'm missing his redeeming values. I don't know.
I do know that his belligerent attitude towards atheists is completely unnecessary. I'm sorry, but I don't think atheists are bombarding him with anti-religious statements, so why he feels the need to bombard them with hostile remarks is beyond me. Believe what you want, but don't be a dick to the people that support you.
Anyway, I feel like he has a decent reason to be upset with Hopsin. I also feel like he's overstating his actual influence and contributions to FV as well, but that might be because of the negative impression I already have of him. Whatever...
Anyone else have any input?
