What I like about Hopsin is, he seems to be in his own lane stylistically.
You can hear his influences, but he's one of only a handful of rappers that pushes himself to the edges of his comfort zone. Whether it's on IMOH4, or this track's hook, he is sort of cartoony with it, but he knows what he's doing.
He doesn't put out shit that sounds just like everyone else, in other words. He strives for originality, and since he controls every aspect of the music from beginning to end, he is able to deliver.
I'm still spinning this song. I'm not sure if it'll stick with me yet or not, but it's Hopsin doing what Hopsin does. Who can hate on that?
