I disagree. I think Jay bested Royce in both meaning/message and surprisingly rhyme wise.
I think the only thing Royce was superior in was flow. He sounded much more versatile and fluent.

Jay-Z's verses were actually within the concept. Royce's first verse was just homage to Eminem's Dead Wrong verse, anyway.

I like what Royce rapped about better than Jay...I just love the raw intensity of the Em/Royce version. I still voted for the Jay version though.
