Rick Ross (Ayo Raids get in here)

Postby Atone » Mar 18th, '12, 08:26

I used to hate Ross, thought his music was trash, Raids god and i had facebook convo's and he brought up Ross, at the time i downloaded a few tracks, dismissed them as garbage cuz i really didn't like the whole thing with Ross being an ex cop,, or whatever the fuck he was.

Anyways, i've given Rick Ross' music a fair chance now and i gotta say, dude is alot better than i thought, the whole officer thing i learned to ignore, Raids you was right about Ross, hopefully later down the road i can get into Odd Future cuz i know you was tryin to get me into them and i was only feelin Tyler a small ammount but not enough to download all his shit.

anyways, Rick Ross is dope

He definitly stepped up, alot of rappers i used to ignore started sounding good, Jeezy, Ross, Drake, hip hop is startin to look ok, i mean, it's not like it was in the 90's but it's not as bad as it was a few years ago

no it will never be as good as it was in the 90's

not only was i a fan of the mainstream shit in the 90's but even the grimey shit

90's Three Six Mafia, Hot Boys, Master P, all that low budget shit back then brings back so many memories of my childhood,

where i grew up, Lil Wayne was played like religion in the 90's, Birdman, i was hearing Cash Money/No Limit and Hypnotised Minds all the time,

But i also loved Mobb Deep, 2Pac, Biggie, Nas, Jay-Z, Snoop Dogg, Outkast.

idk, maybe 90's hip hop is just as good as it is to me cuz of all the memories

hell yeah dude, i think the production is what i like the most,

i also noticed the album his old label put out Ross sounded alot different, he didn't sound anything like he does now, it's like he changed his style once he got on slip-n-slide/Maybach

It all depends if he tries. Sometimes Ricky can drop a mean fucking 16, other times it's just embarrassing.

I'm hoping Wale can bring him up. Just don't bring Wale down

As I 've said a couple of times before.... Can you imagine how dope a Waka, Gucci & Ross collab would be? It would be out of his world.
