I'm curious. How many of you have actually listened to any of the records dissing Em? And do any of them have lines that made you go "oh, damn!"? Or do you just think they're all just straight wack? Opinions.

He fell of so hard he broke his accent - Airstrike.

None are great, but like Menzo said, Whitey Ford hit him the hardest. Benzino straight up sucks.

I think the most "personal" diss to him was Mariah's song..I'd be feeling pretty shitty if my ex had the fame of Mariah Carey and made a whole song about me like th at.

This was pretty lethal. Weird Al did a good job making fun of his Ebonics.

BTW, I find this interesting, regarding his Ebonics:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yg6OncON-2Y

At 2:36, he says "we [him and Kim] had broke up for a little while."

Then, at 2:44, he corrects himself: "we had broken up for a little while."

I love that interview. :flutter:

Em's grammar is still shit. lol he still doesn't know you can't say "I had went".

Howard Stern made fun of Eminem for saying "I had went," and Eminem quickly responded, "what is it, I had gone?"

He could use perfect grammar if he wanted to...the Ebonics-speak is just force of habit from hanging out with urban black guys.

You may notice that with each passing year (pills years excluded), he became more and more articulate in interviews. When he first came out, he was saying "you know what I'm sayin?" and "like" every 3 sentences. The more he got away from his usual friends, the less he talked like them. Pretty natural...people who move from the US to Australia or England for a few years will sometimes come back with an accent.

As for diss tracks...the only line that really seemed like a big blow was Everlast's, "and you can't keep your wife from goin astray/better run and check your kid for your DNA." Course, when you really look at that, it's more of a Kim diss than an Eminem diss, since she's the tramp...but it's still a cruel line that obviously pissed off Eminem.

Oh, and the "stay high on pills" line is retroactively devastating. :( The irony is he wasn't really getting high on pills during the time period Everlast said that.
