Shady Records doesn't have a great track record. Strange Music would have been a perfect fit for him, as they are very active, but he turned them down.

Hop knows what can go wrong with a label, and he knows how to make it work without one. I could see him doing a real for his label, but I don't think he going to sign to anyone, especially a label that doesn't take the best care of their artists.

The one thing you are guaranteed on Shady records are Eminem features. Even for that alone, he'd be so much more grateful and sign that deal, no question.

Plus, lets be honest, Hopsin doesnt want a "push" from the record label as much as people like Yelawolf or Slaughterhouse as these were already big enough to make billboard top 200 WITHOUT label support. He doesnt have the money to make good quality videos (Hop Madness anyone?) he cant make one facebook post and reach 50 million people. Hell, he dont even have a tourbus (i think) lol. Sometimes, the road to having a successful career will either be VERY long (and extremely hard in today's download age) or risky but expensive in signing a record deal.
