Without Dre this site most likely wouldn't exist because Eminem wouldn't have gotten so big.

Unless Dr.dre is the father of those people, they would still exist. & they most likely would still be rappers. 2pac was big before he worked with Dre, and they didn't even work together much

Your list is very invalid

Beat for beat the album isn't that great but the way The Chronic is composed makes it a true masterpiece not only within hip hop but music in general. It has never been copied and apart from Only built 4 cuban linx I have yet to see anything close from another producer.

A shame he seems to have vanished totally from the music scene cus I would love another fully produced Dr. Dre album with a great rapper on the mic. Hopefully he will do that with Kendrick Lamar although I was more than pleased with the music on Section 80... Relapse proved he is still on the absolute illest beat makers and no one can fuck with his mixing. I have never understood why people hold his drums in such high esteem though.

"The Chronic is still the hip-hop equivalent of Stevie Wonder's Songs in the Key of Life. It's the benchmark you measure your album against if you're serious." - Kanye West
"Historically speaking cause people be dissin', the first graffiti artists in the world were the Egyptians." - KRS-One

Not necessarily a bad thing
NO 2Pac

NO Eminem

NO Snoop

Pac and Snoop probably would've turned out the same

I guess no Em. I'd like to think someone else would've picked him up though but certainly not the same impact that he had.

I find the whole thing a bit silly though. Its like saying OMG imagine if no Debbie Mathers :o
I'm not tryin to be rude, but I sincerely wanna fuck the taste out of your mouth

Nah but yeah the DR is THE most single important person since the inception of the genre. And responsible for getting hip-hop where it's at right now. :y:

"This dude doing this interview wants me to spin a few,
Lyrics while I tie my tennis shoes in the nude
A romantic interlude in a livin’ room,
In an inner tube with a dude with a bit of lube
Fuck that I’m sniffin’ glue, sippin' gin & juice,
And a little bit of paint thinner with my dinner too,
You better pay me for my bars like your rent is due,
Now hurry up and finish dude before I finish you."
