Who will leave Shady Records first?

Postby Chet Starr » Mar 28th, '12, 00:59

Eminem is famous for signing artist's and then letting them rot. He's been doing good so far (well he didn't help Yela much) but it's possible he could get in a rut again.

Who would leave first?

I think Slaughterhouse would hit the door first, & Yela would end up like Ca$his. Staying signed for years yet never dropping more then once

There is no educated way to guess this, so just go with your gut

SH will probably pull a D12.
Yela' will probably become inactive but still be on Shady for a while.
I'm looking forward a vast time though, about 3 years...
Who knows what could happen during those years...

Both may drop a few albums, if not, do features.
I was a bit reluctant to give an opinion on this, in the music business, anything goes.

What if none of them leave? What if Yela puts out more albums and SH puts out more albums as well?

If I had to choose one though, I'd bet on Yelawolf. I really don't think this is happening though unless if they change their minds about being on the label. Which I dunno why they would. I would be putting out mad music if I was signed on Shady...

Yeah true, Yela' might leave after a long time, but atm, Yela' is pretty well-known, even if it is just mild success.

He's got a solid fanbase, so as long as he keeps dropping, kids will keep eating his shit up.
He may become irrelevant if more artists pop up though, Eminem likes signing people like Chetty said.

I don't think any of them will leave. Yelawolf is as loyal, if not more so, as Cashis because Eminem pulled him out of the gutter. He's expressed so many times how grateful his is to Eminem and Shady Records. I remember he said something about being so grateful for Eminem allowing him to feed his children. Oh and btw, he didn't get a large amount of money for his Interscope contract but he got a shit load from Shady. Also, Slaughterhouse are so fucking tight with Eminem. They are the new D12 to Eminem IMO. They won't leave and I feel they will both drop a shit load of music and albums. Look at Yeller, he puts out a freestyle every two weeks and he does collaboration projects. He is also gearing up for his next album. In addition, Eminem is in a new mind state. He wants to rebuild his label not let it fall apart. That's why I believe 50 Cent won't get pushed back again.

Edit: First to leave IMO would be Joe Budden from Slaughterhouse, but they wouldn't leave at the same time (Slaughterhouse).

I noticed a sorta good vibe from Yela', he seemed to be in it for the long run.

Whenever he talks about Shady and such I think deep down he's honored to be on the label.

Well, considering Yela's struggle through life was quite similar to Em's and the fact that anything Shady is basically good to most of the people.

Like, if you see someone hanging with Em', you just shit yourself.
Remember D12?
Yeah, I used to love listening to Bizarre rapping when I was a kid, so yeah, a person running a label, especially an artist, can have a huge impact!

But that's just me, to each their own, I think everyone is slowly getting sick of Shady Records, that happens to anything trying to stand the test of time though.

No one's sick of it, they don't know about its artists.

You know how Yelawolf has put out soo many albums?
Well, it shows he's had an interest in rap for a while...

I think he'll stick around, I have a second opinion now that I remember that he was dropping shit as early as 2004...

Pigs flying is less possible than Yela/SH leaving...

Still participated, but I just really don't think any of them will leave for a while at least.

Probably Yela, but ideally nobody leaves and they both end up successful.

And why isn't 50 on the poll? With all his issues with Jimmy, he's certainly a candidate, probably more than Yela or Slaughterhouse are.

This, 50 Cent will leave faster than any of these. Yelawolf, imo, will stay around longer than any signee because he is hungry, he is loyal, he is grateful, and he's excited about his situation. Even if he blows up I don't see him leaving.
