Wow, Hopsin might as well sign to a major label cause he already delays projects like he's on one

I think artists go the wrong route by... putting 2-5 singles out before an album and leaving such a huge gap between the 1st single and the album release...

I think they think it all builds hype but history has shown that releasing an album close to the single does better, as it's still fresh in people's minds, they make the connection.

People are very fickle now.

Like, look at The Marshall Mathers LP - one single, and then album straight after.

I know obviously that single, needs to be a hit to some degree, but I don't think any of Hopsin's singles would be and still think he'd better if he released Knock Madness like next month.

September, right?

Anyway, I know he's got a lot going on, but wouldn't it make sense to put it out during the summer, so he could have a decent touring season to support the album?

If it's like "Nocturnal Rainbows", "Story of Mine", "Pillow Man", "Chris Dolmeth", "Sexy Cyber", and "Where Do I Go Now" it will put Hopsin on the map forever.

Hop Madness is basically like any stereotypical underground rap song. The songs listed above show Hop as a real artist.

I wanna see him sing more.

I wouldn't place too much emphasis on Hop Madness.

Hopsin has said that he wants this album to be more inspirational, with more depth. He said to keep making songs like "Sag My Pants" would be ignorant at this point. He said that while he still has songs like that (Hop Madness being one of them I'm sure) they don't make up the bulk of the album.

I'm sure you already know that though. I don't think anyone is stupid enough to expect the first single to be representative of an entire album, especially from an artist like Hop.

Well, we still have a few singles between now and then, so I'm sure the general vibe of the album will begin to reveal itself within the next few months.

I really fucking hate when people judge an entire album by 1 song. You could say it's reasonable to say that the 1 single is their only indication of how the album with sound with nothing else released from it, but if you're expecting the artist to make an entire album of the same song over and over he/she wouldn't be a good artist in the first place.
