Sick, if you like beats that are 'artistic' i suggest you definitely check out 'Cunninlynguists - Oneirology', it's a really dope album with the production, here's the introduction just to give you a taster:
Fuck a sig, i go accapella.

Yea, I've heard it. I think I actually bought it on iTunes, but I bought Long Term Mentality and never got around to listening to it. So, I put it on when I was going to bed and this beat came on, and I was like "Oh shit that's dope as fuck."

I don't fully understand the concept of the album, but it's something to do with dreams and it's totally at it's peak when your lying in bed haha.
Btw, do you like (prime) DJ Premier?

TBH i haven't really gone searching for his beats but I'm sure I've heard them cause I listen to a lot of Royce, Nas, etc. My favorite that I know he did was Shake This. I like his old school feel but some times I can't get into it, most of the time I do though.

Yeah Shake This was really cool, you probably heard some of the classic stuff and not even realised like NY State of Mind etc.. This is one of my favourites though:

Anyway, my point was that there's this group of producers called Crazeology (you may of heard of them) and they are pretty unknown but i like some of their stuff, especially the ones that sound a lot like Preemo beats with a lot of scratching, here's one of their songs:
Fuck a sig, i go accapella.

Woah I didn't know NY State of Mind was a Premo beat, dope. I always loved that, and I heard the first video you posted and that second one's got a nice feel to it. Damn, but I don't feel the people rapping on that second beat really fit it? I dunno, might just be me but the voice and beat don't blend well.

I get shocked when i see certain producers too (eg. D12 World - Kanye West & P.I.M.P - Mr Porter), but yeah Premier produced a lot of great records, Mobb Deeps first single ever 'Peer Pressure', Memory Lane and Represent on Illmatic, Unbelievable on Ready to Die, Rapperz R N Dainja by KRS, Nas' - I Gave You Power, Rakim - New York, BIG - Kick In The Door, He also produced 5 tracks on a Christina Aguelera album haha, and Royce's BOOM which is a really cool track (I think i heard it was originally for Capone N Noreaga though).
Theres probably loads more classic stuff he produced too, the most recent stuff I've heard is 'Born in the Trap' on The Games album and Stop What Ya Doing on Apathy's, both have got a lot of hate from old Preemo fans but i liked the feeling of Stop What Ya Doing and Born in the Trap really grew on me.

I knew Kanye did D12 World but the rest I had no idea. Damn, and I really like Premo now that I know those are his beats. I love them all except Born in the Trap, it feels to repetitive.

18. Born In The Trap - DJ PREMIER-P-P-P-Premiere did this shit! BUT...let me clarify yo. This aint the Preemo that did the beats for 5 classic Gang Starr albums n had probably the best joints on Reasonable Doubt, Illmatic n Ready To Die son....this is the Premier that cant get beats placed on Jay or Nas albums no more n been gettin shitted on by Kanye for the past 5 years. Niggas use to be like "PREEM LEMME GET A BEAT PLEASE YO!!! I GOT YA 30 Gs RITE HERE SON". Now niggas is like "Shit...that nigga Preemo sendin me links to his SoundCloud again....". I love that nigga Preem tho. Thats my heart. N this joint is still A LOT better than the bullshit we been hearin over the last 6 or 7 tracks b. I fucks wit it.

Haha, that's the truth though. Kanye West must be Premo's worst nightmare, just shows how the game changes.

Word to that, I liked the production on My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, I think it was different and what not, but it's not what i want all the time, it's like desserts.. but you don't want desserts all the time haha. Premo got that Steak and Potatoes, It's remarkable to think of how much RZA helped production wize on MBDTF though.

Ya, I get what your saying. Kanye has pretty amazingly artistic beats but I feel that most of them lack replay value. It's kind of a sacrifice on the longevity of your music if you are artistic to the extreme like Kanye, but at least you'll be ensured a grammy. That first beat I posted has a nice balance of artistic quality and replay value. Whoever is producing for Top Dawg Entertainment's artists they do a fucking good job. I mean all their albums flow flawlessly and the beats compliment one another. Also, those jazz infused hip hop beats are fucking interesting because it's not done this way by really anyone.
