Just something I did quick.

[Verse]
I am never going to fail, when I'm rapping I will shine,
Giving out my only soul in every track until I die,
The apple of my eye, if I'm dreamin' up bars,
I will be damned if you ever think I'm leapin' too far,
If you reach for the stars, I will be taking the galaxy,
While I'm pacing...Shaking and I'm breaking the doubt in me,
Ain't even proud of me? You can lie it rest,
'Cause I am success to myself, and I was trying my best,
And right now I am focused on my solace,
I'm living life though I know it isn't flawless,
It is worth it...Every action that I take,
Reflects upon my motivation and the passion in my faith,
Faith, something that I once had never known,
Left alone, really sitting in a wicked severed home,
One step closer, and right there I try to love,
What I'm feeling as it builds like a flare inside my blood.

The mixing is pretty good, it sounded nice and clean. Overlays were well placed. Rhyme scheme was very basic and your flow was decent put choppy in parts were you try to fit to much into a bar. Your delivery, still not sold on it. While it has improved, you still got an uncertain feel to it, like your holding back. More talking than rapping. But dont worry it will come with more practice, just play with your voice when recording. Not a bad short. Keep at it bro.

If you got the time please check out my mixtape, I put a lot of work into and feel like there are a lot of solid tracks, you wont be disappointed.

I don't feel you on the choppy flow part, I never rushed a single part so I don't feel like I fit too much in a bar. Except "The apple of my eye" part was fucked. The only thing I speed up is occasionally the rhyme itself and I just do that because I like it. And my delivery, you say I'm more talking than rapping but then other people tell me I go way too aggressive so it's like I can't decide what people want. I wouldn't know how else to approach a laid back beat like this. It's more than likely my mic.

When im talking about your flow its not how you say it, im talking about the construction of your lyrics. syllable wise its not as fluent as it could. IMO it comes down to choice of words. And about the delivery i get it man one person says one thing the next guys says the opposite and its confusing, happens to me all the time. So its more of just trying to find that happy medium so to speak.

hey that was a sick freestyle, I agree with the comment above, vocals were a bit too loud. Also, lately, some of your newest stuff like also that Cypher freestyle that you posted have kind of a new accent or something into it, I dont know how I feel bout that. hmm

the writing is great man, as well as the style and flow. Also the passion, everything is great. sucks that its too short.

also, great cover art on the youtube

Hmm.. your voice doesn't seem to fit your appearance. I would assume someone like class_theking would have your voice. But otherwise, pretty nice my man. :y:

Hey Solace.

Gave this a quick listen, and as always, the rhyming was superb. A few other things I noticed - you told me my flow was choppy on my EP, but on here yours is choppy as well ("While I'm pacing...Shaking and I'm breaking the doubt in me"), that part especially. Also, it felt as if you weren't giving your all into the mic (speaking of mic, you defend your track to Scrubz blaming your mic, someone once told me not to blame your mic *cough*).

Anyway, good drop. Honestly, the best part of this song is looking at the cover while I listen to the track - the beat really brings out the emotion while looking at those stars.

Much thanks Big. I suppose since it's my own voice it's hard to differenciate between how I sound here and in other songs but I really feel I use the same voice in this as I do in...Stand Tall for example.

Blu wrote:Hmm.. your voice doesn't seem to fit your appearance. I would assume someone like class_theking would have your voice. But otherwise, pretty nice my man. :y:

Don't tell me you expected an Indian accent or something haha...You've listened to my music before though so I don't know why that's a surprise for you.

Eedee wrote:A few other things I noticed - you told me my flow was choppy on my EP, but on here yours is choppy as well ("While I'm pacing...Shaking and I'm breaking the doubt in me"), that part especially.

Just because I point out your flaws does not mean I've mastered mine. Also, the flow was not choppy there because of a pause, it was for my breath otherwise I wouldn't get through the bar, which is also why I had a repeat adlib of myself to keep it smooth while listening so it sounds like "While I'm pacing, pacing, shaking" instead of empty choppy space.

Eedee wrote:Also, it felt as if you weren't giving your all into the mic (speaking of mic, you defend your track to Scrubz blaming your mic, someone once told me not to blame your mic *cough*).

I was told so many times to stop being as aggressive as I usually am, and when I finally do it people act as if I had a monotonous delivery like Atone, but really it wasn't. I told you not to blame your mic because you're using a condenser mic that should be nothing short of high quality where as I use a $15 mic so I actually have reason to blame the mic. It really doesn't pick up what I put in. I'm actually using so much effort in everything recorded to get the sound through, and even though you might not tell you would be able to hear me loudly rapping from all the way downstairs on like the other side of my place. So :sweating: I like the cover too, it's smexi.

not a bad drop here, the delivery is smooth, but it has an almost wooden feel to it... if that makes sense; you're obviously ridin the beat right tho, so respect. I think the vocals are mixed a bit loud, and I'm not sure how i feel about the beat - but this isnt bad by any means homie

keep it movin
