I already consider him a GOAT. I mean, I believe anyway, OD & Section.80 > Jay's Discography

Edit: I say this because I personally find Kendrick Lamar to be more interesting than Jay-Z who, IMO, ever since Reasonable Doubt has rehashed the same subject matter over and over with an occasional amazing topic or different approach to a topic. Where as Kendrick Lamar comes with his own, catchy (not cheap) sound that keeps me entertained while he pushes the boundaries on subject matter. He has also displayed that he can rap as good as Jay-Z, if not better, in terms of technicals. I just find Kendrick Lamar more dimensional in his music, more entertaining, and more intertwined in his original sound. For example, the only Jay-Z album that I was able to listen to front to back without getting bored or annoyed was The Black Album, however I enjoyed Kendrick Lamar from the opening track, "Fuck You Ethnicity" and listened all the way through. I mean when I first heard Kendrick Lamar, I was searching on iTunes and saw Section.80 (I heard him mentioned on information about Detox before but never listened to him), so I played the 30 second snippet and knew that he had the potential to be one of the best, if not the best. I bought the album right after that and then went and coped OD.

Yea, I mean I like Section 80 a lot but I only seem to repeat Ronald Regan Era and HiiiPower often, most of the others just get occasional spins. But this song is classic, like seriously impressive.

Him and Yelawolf are my favorite new rappers to emerge from the underground. I'm glad that Shady/Aftermath snatched them up. I want them to blow up and not sell out, but Yelawolf kinda already did a little on Radioactive but I understand why. I just hope Kendrick sticks to his sound and puts a classic out with Dr. Dre. Also, I find it funny that these two were in probably the best XXL freshmen group and then the next year came the worst, Hopsin being the only one with talent that I can appreciate.

I just hope Dre doesn't drag his feet with him. He's too good to be sitting around Aftermath for 2 - 3 years with no album getting released. He needs to get out there soon as possible.

This song is really really dope. I too enjoyed Section.80 a lot. It has very good skits as well.
I got to know Kendrick Lamar on this board, when someone posted HiiiPower, saying that his album was coming out. Instantly got me Section.80 and Lamar's style is absolutely refreshing.
