On The Eminem Show there was a lot of shouting and energy, so I think besides being bored, he also tried to reflect a calmer tone and style on Encore.

As if you listen to something like "Yellow Brick Road"... that's not just boredom, he's intentionally going with a duller but smoother / more flat-toned flow.


Yeah, but that's probably him just making good use out of the sucky vocal tone he had at this point.

i didnt like his voice as the old shady, but is voice is getting better, and i actually liked his weird accent in we made you.
