Just a few stereotypes that annoy me that different types of ignorant people will state without any justification. Probably heard most of these on more than one occasion

People who 'hate' rap but 'like' Eminem make me fuckin hate Eminem and myself more for being a fan.

Well our lunch ladis do nothing more than bitch about life and serve the food, they actually make us take out the garbage. We always like, "What the fuck are they getting paid to do?" Then I have teachers that don't teach and complain when we fail, it makes me mad.

This. I still don't have a voice that sounds really good, I've been trying to experiment with different voices (my normal one sucks), and fuck...flow is a whole nother issue.

Word, I was working on recording today, unfortunately the program I record with is so fuckin quiet so I can barely hear it, for fuck sakes.

Are you sure it's the program's fault? If you're on Windows, go to control panel (>sound>recording>microphone>properties>levels) and add like 30db to the microphone boost. This should help if you have a shitty mic like me. Also download cubase and use these presets - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yDViKqK53IQ

And most importantly, don't get discouraged guys. And my best advice is to do it as it comes most natural to you, instead of trying something you can't do. You can read my "how to rap tutorial" thread for some technical advices, but it always comes down to practice and getting the feeling of it.

But there's no way I'm getting discouraged, I'm actually having fun when I'm not frustrated experimenting with new things. But before I put ANYTHING out I'm getting my friends to send it to people they don't know and getting their feedback.

Sure thing man, I'm glad whenever I can help. And yeah, having fun is the most important thing, and that's how you should approach it. And at the end of the day, even if you don't sound good, you can't really tell until you hear yourself on a recording, so if you feel good while doing it - fuck the other situations, lol.

Also perhaps the idea that hip-hop fans may often be young and immature...

I mean, just, such a blind assumption when... me personally, I love hip-hop and, I'm a responsible, mature, independent adult that does things for himself, and considers consequence before action.

I would expand on that more but my dadda has just run a bath for me and I wanna catch The Simpsons on SkyOne before I go stay at grandmas and do my homework. So, I'll go wash, then I might get high in the woods with some spuriously mixed / untrustworthy illegal street drugs (various / pick and mix). I mean, I know street drugs can be dangerous but, I wanna get high, so...

Anyway, yeah, stereotypes - what a load of bull.
