This is exactly what I was talking about like a week ago about how people
just seem to pick out relatively unknown *artists (edit) to feel smart and special.

MAYBE. Maybe you really DO like those artists.

But REALLY? MF DOOM? I actually don't even know who that is.

Em's got 4 plat and 2 diamonds and you're on an Eminem forum for god's sake.
I'm sure you're also quite the Em fan.
It's not too bad being a Stan and people get offended too much being called that.

Sorry.

Ghostface, unknown?
He's being dropping consisntently great music for TWENTY years now, and he's barely lost a step;

Ironman
Supreme Clientelle
Bulletproof Wallets (espeically the "4.5 mic" version
Pretty Toney LP (a good album, but again, could have near perfect if it wasn't for sample issues)
Fishscale
More Fish
Big Doe Rehab
Wizard of the Poetry (the ONLY below average album on here, and it still has quality cuts like Guest House , Lonely and Forever)
Apollo Kids

^ That's Ghost's solo discog, and let's be honest, he was also the star emcee on the original Cuban Linx, which is one of the best hip hop releases ever, he's had standout verses on every Wu album; his catalogue is legendary

MF DOOM, if you've never heard of him then that's your loss, he's hardly unknown though; Op Doomsday, the KMD albums, MM...FOOD, King Geedorah, Vaudeville Villain, Venomous Villain, Madvillainy, (regarded as one of the best releases of the last decade) Dangerdoom, Born like This; Again NO weak albums, a classic or two, and every other album is great

Outkast; 4 classics, one of the most innovative and influencial albums of the last decade in "The Love Below", and Speakerboxxx, yeah they shouldn't be here either

I don't list people over Em to try and be cool, I'm a huge Em fan, and SSLP and MMLP are up there with any album off each artist I listed, but I don't rate TES as highly as most on here, and his music quality has dropped dramatically (bar some selected tracks) since that album. Encore is easily the worst album of any of the ones I listed, Recovery would be at the bottom end too. As a whole, his discog, for me, has two classics, a very good album (TES) a good album, (Relapse) a below average and one the least replayable albums I've heard in years (Recovery) and Encore, an absolute atrocity. For me, that isn't up there with the other discographies I put in my first post

I'd also put Kool G Rap's, Masta Ace's, Kanye West's and The Roots' catalogue over Eminem's, for one word; "Consistency".
Same sword they knight you they gon' good night you with
Sh.., Thats' only half if they like you
That ain't even the half what they might do
Don't believe me, ask Michael
See Martin, see Malcolm
You see Biggie, see Pac, see success and its outcome
See Jesus, see Judas; see Caesar, see Brutus
See success is like suicide
Suicide, it's a suicide
If you succeed, prepare to be crucified

Of course you can see by the name that KillahBee is a massive Wu fan and Doom is highly regarded by a lot of Wu Tang fans (including me, Madvillainy is way too dope), I agree that Ghost has an amazing catalogue and if you don't take too much attention to the actual lyrical prowess and concentrate more on the storytelling and hooks in Wizard of Poetry, you can enjoy it for what it is.

How can anybody here say Yelawolf though? Zero 'classics' and Radioactive was weak apart from a few songs.

Dre is arguable as all of his catalogue is ghostwritten, although possible two (solo's) of the best produced albums ever, along with them both being game changers.

As for others with great catalogues that are consistant but maybe overlooked nowadays: Redman, Methodman, DMX (Mentioned earlier).. and a few more.

Jay, Em & Nas have all had duds but still rank up as the best three catalogues. And here we're only talking mainstream artists who have all gone plat.
Fuck a sig, i go accapella.
