How can hip-hop be dead if Wu-Tang is forever?

Just saw it, looks dope and it has that vintage Hip-Hop vibe to it. I also love the song so that makes it even better. Can't wait for the Behind The Music documentary too, which I believe airs tonight.

Hmm, for some reason I have a feeling this album may turn out a classic.

Don't ask me why, I mean obviously there's an explanation behind my thinking, I just can't fully (or am too tired right now) expand on it at the moment.

And, I'm not even the biggest fan of the songs from the album so far. I like them but, I don't like or love them as much as many seem to, but they're still good...

I think there's an immediate feeling of consistency in tone and feel to me, and imagery, that's why I'm feeling a potential classic here. As to me, consistency and imagery and just creating - an overall tone / feel to a record is often what makes it... if not a classic, then very enjoyable and coherent.

Something is just resonating here with the album title, the flashy imagery... the rap style, the music... if it's not a classic, I think it will probably at least be very coherent.

Exactly, this is the best Nas has sounded since Stillmatic. You can tell by both his guest verses over the past year, and these two singles. It just seems that he's really into it and most importantly having a lot of fun. But the energy and quality of his current delivery is what makes the difference I think.

It wasn't interesting at all, while The Don's beat alone keeps you going.

I was just happy that he sounded so good after a long to be honest. And while I prefer The Don myself, Nasty entertained me for a long time too.

My thoughts exactly, for both of you :worship: Nas is in a good state in his life, obviously, and I think his settled happiness will pay off with dope music - which we've already heard so far. Can't wait.

Definitely, and it's a great time to be a Nas fan. I still can't get enough of his verse on Triple Beam Dreams.

Haha, I know what you mean. As Nas himself stated - The Nasty Nas season has begun. If he dropped so good verses for a guest appearance, he must be keeping something amazing for his own album.

I don't expect the production to be as good as Distant Relatives' but the album will most likely going to be great judging by his recent work:

Doesn't look like it'll be bad...most likely will turn out to be dope.
