First of all every big player misses a penalty, doesn't mean he's less then a leader than he is. Second, it was his mate's ex-girlfriend and not wife, still a bad thing, but way different situation. Third, there's no proof he racially abused Ferdinand so far....

If anything, this is the least strong part of my argument. Everyone makes mistakes. But 'best captains in the world' make the difference in these moments.

2. He slept with a TEAMMATE's ex gf. This is not his social life. This is his social life invading the dressing room. OK, Bridge didn't find out until he had left. But just IMAGINE the atmosphere in that dressing room if Bridge had discovered this while he was still at Chelsea and the impact that would have on morale. Terry didn't give a fuck.

3. He is in the process of being prosecuted for racial abuse. Do you think any black player in the Chelsea dressing room respects Terry after what he has said? This is not a man to admire or fight for.

A captain has to show the example on a field but also outside of it. If a captain gets bad press, the whole team is kinda concerned. And what Terry has done isn't really cool.

1. On the contrary, he DID step up when he decided to take that penalty. How often do you see center-backs taking penalties of that importance? And no, that's the most loose and illogical part of your argument.

2. Terry sleeping with Bridge's EX GIRLFRIEND is not Bridge's problem at all lol, they were finished. Why can't people understand that? If anyone, Terry's wife is the one who should be upset, not Bridge. And again, his social life has nothing to do with his work.

Away from JT, today is HUGE in the race for 4th. An Arsenal win, a Newcastle win and QPR win would make my day. I can see the first two definitely happening, and the way Spurs are playing, they could well drop at least 2 points. If we win our game, and we really should, we'll be 3 points clear of Spurs come 5pm, before they play.

Redknapp can't handle the pressure, I think they'll bottle 4th. Drspite the fact they've got an easier run. It's up for grabs, it really is.
