Yeah, as mentioned in the thread that sparked this one;

He mentioned making a song about doing drugs and naming it after her(his mom), and whaddaya know, years later "My Mom" on Relapse. Pretty neat.

Ah, I totally didn't even realize that until now :sweating: nice

Here's one

My Name Is-

Am I coming or going? I can barely decide
I just drank a fifth of vodka - dare me to drive?

Stan-

Hey Slim, I drank a fifth of vodka, you dare me to drive?

He also mentioned post-offices twice on Hell: The Sequel in A Kiss and I'm On Everything. Different contexts, but kind of a weird thing to mention twice in a few songs.

I think he gets on kicks with words/ideas. Like him mentioning the term hog tied twice on recovery, to which he never used it before.

yeah and what sucks besides that was unreleased, was that the fly away one was better. it was like that square male chicken line, which is weird cause despicable, while not on any album was released

cant believe you guys dont know bout the Stan/My Name Is line...

Stan is obv quoting it, repeating the line that Em said, which is why its exactly the same.

but that being said Em doesnt have a large vocab for someone who "use to read the dictionary"
and he mentions him being cold like 542643 times

there was a thread called like, "Ems house must have poor heating"
sumin like that

Not exactly what you mean but I like how he references previous parts of songs in later songs (ignoring the HORRIBLE reference to Lose Yourself on Just Lose It, of course). It kind of gives his music it's own litle world.

Example:

My Name Is: "Hi kids, do you like violence?"

Who Knew: "Ain't they got the same moms and dads who got mad when I asked if they liked violence?"

Then in I'm Back: "You think of My Name now whenever you say Hi"

and

Guilty Conscience: Whole of the 3rd part

Bad Influence: "And she almost got the same fate that Grady's bitch got"

What's so great about that last one, is that in Bad Influence he is poking fun at the way his music is made to look literal (with that trademark MMLP sarcasm), so by making out another song (Guilty Conscience) to seem like a real event is just adding to his point.

I've always felt that he was just explaining the joke so that more people would get it. On Fly Away, he didn't go in depth with the explanation (which he shouldn't have had to), though he elaborated it a lot better on I'm On Everything.

Fly Away - "The white-trash star! Fuck an R-V up like Brett Favre."

IOE - "Call me Brett Favre, spell it F-A-V-R-E, yup it's wrong. Other words I just fucked an R-V up!"

See whats interesting is that I always thought your example was correct. And that the "hi" was a reference back to the song my name is, which to me makes complete sense. But years ago when I thought this I looked up the lyrics and they had used "high" instead of "hi", so I assumed this was true based on all his drug references. Needless to say both would make sense, and both fit into his previous album. Though idk which one is accurate I think your example very well is, and is to me, the better of the two. Unless he was playing off it both ways, which would also make sense cause it's Em.
