I wanted to check out something on his facebook but apparently it had vanished from the surface. I made a quick search on Google and to my amazement I found a screenshot of him calling it a day.
I didn't see this coming at all. Of course there are bigger things going around than just hip hop but like Malcolm X, he seemed like a guy who was educating himself by traveling around the world, reading and witnessing everything himself. I guess I was totally wrong.
He was on his way to becoming an immortal figure within hip hop. He had improved so much as a rapper and overall artist in the time between his first and second album so I could only see him getting even better. Never have I listened to an album that was able to change my perception of life as much as Soundtrack to the struggle. Actually I'm travelling to Palestine (or "Israel") in October with an arabic friend of mine just to see it myself.
Good luck. I'll be awaing your return to music!!!
