This week we will see some potentinally great releases:
-"A Party We Will Throw (feat. Kendrick Lamar, Nate Dogg, & The Game)" - Warren G (Tuesday)
-"The Slumdon Bridge EP" - Yelawolf & Ed Sheeran (Tuesday)
-"I Don't Like (Remix)" - G.O.O.D. Music (Monday)
And potentially more! Check out last week's releases:
-"Way Too Cold (DJ Khaled)" - Kanye West
-"Smoke Out Conversations" - Dizzy Wright
Feel free to discuss last week's releases and anticipate this week's here.
I thought Dizzy Wright dropped an above average album, nothing new (but hey who doesn't like this), and it did good for an indepent drop. It reached #3 on the iTunes Hip-Hop/Rap charts. Also, it is arguably the best Funk Volume release to date, and undoubtedly has featured the best production available to Funk Volume to date. The cover was also a nice touch to compliment the music.
"Way Too Cold (feat. DJ Khaled) [Theraflu]" was an amazing drop from Kanye but hasn't done as well as his last release "Mercy," which by the way was a somewhat lackluster track in my opinion.
Now, this week I will buy the amazing EP, "The Slumdon Bridge EP," as an official release. You all know the story behind this record. Next, G.O.O.D. Music is dropping its second single, "I Don't Like (Remix)." If it is anything like the original track be prepared for shit, but the track is a banger and should sell well. So, if this track sucks be prepared to see Kanye stanyes come to defense faster than a Stan bumping FACK with defenses such as "Go back to listening to your shit Eminem music." Yeah, I'm looking at you Studio Leaks (and some members on this site). Anyway, here's to hoping it will be better than "Mercy." In addition, Slaughterhouse dropped their "Hammer Dance" video on MTV. It was very boring but featured Kanye West, Tony Yayo, 50 Cent, Eminem, & Victor Cruz cameos. So, form a jack off circle to that.
Now, my most anticipated single dropping this Tuesday will be Warren G's, "A Party We Will Throw (feat. Kendrick Lamar, Nate Dogg, & The Game)." From the snippets it is shaping up to be an amazing song with a classic G-Funk sound.
*Note, "Way Too Cold" leaked as "Theraflu" when "Mercy" was official released. It was oficially released as Way Too Cold (feat. DJ Khaled)" this week.
