That's your opinion, how can measure music in terms of quality unless it was Soulja Biy vs Nas, where the division is very apparent. I believe TSSLP is better honestly. Also, I'd like to see you discuss Kanye cause I love him (whether you believe that or not).

I'm to Kanye what most of those people are to Eminem.. A hardcore follower. College Dropout and My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy are both in my top 20 albums. Late Registration is close in that area. I wasn't huge on Graduation or 808's. They were average. If he has another great album or two, I consider him to be up there, as well.. He ranges from a piss poor rapper to a good one with more entertainment value than just about anyone else (I like Rick Ross and Lil B's mic presences, but they do suck, of course).

He's always made great music and tries something new.. It's fantastic he doesn't stay in a comfort zone because it shows versatile he is. When your most creative album is your fifth one, that says a lot.

Did you really need to post his entire discography? I've heard every Eminem song released and so have most of these people. We aren't going to go "Wow.. I was wrong. My opinion of Eminem has changed. This guy IS good!".

On the flip side, I hate The Slim Shady LP and enjoy Relapse more. I don't find it to be much better than Relapse either.

So I'd say we both have fairly unpopular beliefs amongst the normal hip-hop opinion.

Reasonable Doubt was just another mafioso rap type of record though; next to Only Made 4 Cuban Linx and It Was Written, it didn't offer anything new. TSSLP on the other side, was a completely new product in rap music. It was original and it had something that other albums lack(ed). The wittiness is exclusive for that album, and in the same connotation - so is the humor. Also, the rhyming and flow are better than what was presented on Reasonable Doubt. The rhyming is very impressive and it's not forced at all, on albums like Capital Punishment, you can tell that the rhyming is overshadowing the other aspects. Jay-Z came up with a unique flow as well, but he couldn't really blow you away with some impressive streaks of rhyming. Granted, Jay had more complex and metaphorical touch to RB, and in that aspect it is better than TSSLP, but that one aspect isn't enough. Renegade is a very good example of how Eminem's strong sides overpower Jay's.

I can`t decide which album is better, MMLP and TES. And I think that Em is the best rapper ever. But I will not go as far as saying that Em has 2-3 albums in top 5 list ever. If you ask me, he does, but there are so many other epic albums, so making Em hold half of the list is wrong.

But, top 5 albums or rappers list must have Em in it, like it or not.

they are very different albums for a lot of reasons, both amazing, but I think if you consider them basically a tie on how much you like them it'd prolly come down to mood on any given day as to which is better.
