B.o.B - Strange Clouds (out of 10?)

After the first time of listening to this album, I felt a bit let-down again (no new guys can seem to fully live up to their potential now, where's the classics!?)... but after having listened to it a few more times over, I will say that, I think overall - this is a good album.

I think it's a good album, with some great moments. But not a great album.

One of the problems is the fact that, it sounds like an album of singles, rather than an album with some singles. It's almost like every song on here was just made to be a radio hit.

B.o.B still has substance in his lyrics, but it's fleeting... it's lines and verses, and the themes aren't committed enough. It's sort of, scatter-brained.

Top three tracks for me are: "Bombs Away", "Out of My Mind" and "Chandelier".

I also like "Circles" a lot.

I think if you replaced "Both of Us" with "Play the Guitar" and if B.o.B had done a few more hooks himself, and maybe one or two knock-out concepts then it would be a much much better album.

It's a 7/10 to me. It's doesnt match up to the quality delivered in Adventures of Bobby Ray but is still a pretty decent album.

Yeah, although i have only listened to the album in full twice so i suppose i can't really judge the tracks entirely just yet. haha "sucks" north american slang is funny.

I like it, and it has a lot of good songs, but when I got done, I was like "That's it?" It was missing something. Still a solid effort though.

I actually liked the album a lot!! I already liked Strange Clouds when I heard it on the radio, But Ithought the track with Nikki miinaj was pretty entertaining, I liked MJ and The one I think its callled where are you or something like that, but so far I like the album

It's grown on me. Still, a few tracks are too upbeat for my tastes, but Bombs Away is amazing and one of my favorite songs from him now. I also like Ray Bands, Out Of My Mind (Nicki on this was entertaining, I thought the Airplanes reference was cool), Where Are You?, and Chandelier is nice, just not too sure about the hook. I think B.o.B. should have done that one. Haven't gotten around to listening to the bonus tracks, are they worth downloading?

So I retract my original score. I'll give it a 7.5/10. Take out a few weak links and replace them with better songs then it would have been rated higher.

honestly the only song i like is "Bombs Away." but the thing is, when you hear that about most albums, that one song is usually an "OK" song that just stands out from the rest. But "Bombs Away" is way more than that. it's what I feel is the only good song, but also an amazing song.

the album itself seems over produced. too many things going on really.

I said the same thing about Nicki's verse. It actually wasn't half bad. The Airplanes reference is probably the best thing she's done outside of her Monster verse.

I had really low expectations for this album. TAOBR and EPIC were both disappointing, and I feared he would do the same oversaturation of features and outside production like he did on the latter.

Turns out I was right. However, although some people clearly don't need to be on this album (Chris Brown, Trey Songz), overall, I really liked it. Some of the features, like Nicki Minaj and Taylor Swift, surprised me with how good they were.

I feel the production was much better on this album than TAOBR. The beats on that album were often very simplistic, but B.o.B seems to have developed a much better ear for beats, especially his own production. That said, Dr. Luke can dig a hole and jump in it, he ruined too many songs.
