You're reaching. Those examples attack the entire music industry?

Son..

Music about the artist = Wack?

:confusion:

Not 'wack', but inferior conceptually as opposed to Just Lose It & My First Single. And yes, they do attack the whole industry, I fail to see how it is reaching.

No comment on the picture? It took me for-fucking-ever to figure out what to google search for it.
AGAIN, I KNOW IT'S A TROLL!!
:'(

And I just don't see how a fart symbolizes crappy singles, when it's used on Yellow Brick Road as well.

YBR :flutter:

And what makes it inferior?

It's not that hard. Crappy singles stink, like farts. It's a brilliant metaphor, albeit childish.

And it's superior because Eminem is aiming at a bolder target, not confining himself to a small target, like how he aimed at the White House on The Eminem Show. (although his execution of those concepts was a disaster on TES, if I do say so myself)

Oh, and I ignored the picture intentionally. Let's keep this topic serious.

Yellow Brick Road was a song Eminem didn't even want to do. Blame Benzino and that stupid racist tape exposure for that. He's basically saying that he has black friends, so how can he be racist? Notice how slurred and drawn out the song sounds. He is so over that shit and was very upset by how blown out of proportion that racist snippet was. He dated a black girl and she dissed him, so he dissed her like he disses everyone else. What's the problem? He's calling his betraying fans hypocrites for being so hurt by an old song, while at the same time praising him for "Kim."

But YBR? :flutter:
A bolder topic has its disadvantages too though. Like a lack of detail.

@Trinell I want to read your replies, but it keeps showing up as:
Not really

If you think the concept is good (I suppose it's decent), imagine how much better it'd be if he actually made it his first single to piss off the higher ups as you claim he was trying to do. Wouldn't making it the lead single have been more effective? I mean, it's just an album track.

Eminem knew his album wouldn't be approved by the higher ups if he did that. He's not stupid. He knows how the play the game.

Would Em even have the authority to do that? I thought Jimmy had the last word on stuff like that, as his label exec.

It's sad to see how such devoted Eminem fans can have such simple concepts fly right over their heads. You guys sit there and memorize, analyze and synthesize all of his work, but can't grasp the deep, rebellious nature of Encore? Wow, just wow.

Social satire?

Eminem was pilled out of his mind when he made Encore. He was telling jokes that only the pilled out version of himself got.

Creative and conceptual prime? :facepalm2

I think it's really fucked up that it has come to the point that if you even mention Encore in a positive light, you get called a troll.

Just Lose It & My First Single are a lot better than overrated songs like Til I Collapse that focus on overrhyming. Til I Collapse completely lacks in conceptual creativity, I'd rather listen to conceptual masterpieces like Just Lose It & My First Single anyday.

Every time I hear a 7 plus syllable rhyme on Til I Collapse, I'm like :facepalm2 and return to listening to Eminem's true classic, Encore.
