New Review! :D

Rain Man: A Social, Political & Religious Commentary Masterpiece

What else could I say about this song? It tackles homophobia, the Bush administration, and once again stabs at the music industry "I made a whole song and I didn't say shit", and gives us a flashback to Criminal with his "You find me offensive, I find you offensive", which is an obvious reference to his classic Heterophobic line. When he takes a quick jab at the Bush administration, he does it simply unlike in White America which has an annoying screaming chorus, overrhyming galore, and fails to execute a good concept. Of course once again, idiots fail to see the concept & want him to overrhyme.

10/10

Discuss.

Every time I hear a 7 plus syllable rhyme on Til I Collapse, I'm like :facepalm2 and return to listening to Eminem's true classic, Encore.

So now I'm trolling for telling the truth about overrated trash such as Til I Collapse? :coffee:

Eminem does nothing brag on that record no CONCEPT whatsoever, full of annoying overrhyming that people seem to wet their panties over. I want CONCEPTS, I could give a fuck less about how many syllables he can rhyme.

Anyway, next up is Eminem's misunderstood classic Fack. :y: (I know it's not from Encore, but it is from the era, and I must show you the amazing social commentary on this track)

I didn't realize this was probably a troll thread until I'd already submitted my reply. Forgot what board I was on.

The part in Rain Man where he says: 'I just did a whole song and I didn't say shit' would work so much better if he literally didn't say the word shit as well in that track.
"Oh, he'll give us what we need.
It may not be what we want."

Again, another concept goes over a fan's head.

That song literally reveals Eminem's intentions for releasing Encore. "Hey guys, watch this. I can release a whole album of 'bullshit' and the record label won't care because they're greedy pigs hellbent on snatching dollars out of your wallet."

Totally agree, thanks for adding to the discussion instead of the "TROLL!" card. Fack review coming soon! :flutter:

Ignoring this boring trolling, I'm sure I read in the Way I Am that Em had that line from when he did his first session with Dre. Pretty cool how he used it 6 years later, despite the fact it's in such a shit song.

I ignored the trolling and picked up on point unrelated to this hilarious troll thread.

You missed my point altogether :facepalm2
Not saying shit in the track would only emphasise his point, in the same way that he doesn't break his promise in Remember Me that he 'won't say fucking for 6 minutes'. Listen to the album. He doesn't.

But your point itself is contentious (if you really are being serious); Encore was meant to be his last album, but it wasn't meant to be an album directed to attacking the bureaucracy of his record label. Rain Man itself is pure bull shit aimed to piss off those that leaked his music. He wasn't happy when We As Americans et al were leaked, and it really set the album back. Compounded by his addiction, Rain Man was one of a few tracks made quickly with no obvious concept (notice the emphasis on obvious) but an underlying motive to highlight, as you suggest, the ridiculous nature of his label, and his status. He can go a whole song and not say shit, it won't hurt his income. But it will hurt his reputation; an irony considering he wasn't in it completely for the money, don't you think? :coffee:
