What the hell is a back pack rapper?

I don't see how you don't like either of these two...both are really emotional. J. Cole raps about his life and problems ALL THE TIME. And Kendrick is a beast. Remind me again why you don't like them?

I dunno i just find both of them really boring to listen to like it's a huge task to listen to them cos it sounds so boring my biggest issue with J Cole is his Production is just way too poor imo he just as bad as Nas when it comes too poor Production i think he should stick to Rapping. His Content at times i feel is 1 dimensional too yes it's true he can put his emotions across but i don't relate to anything he Raps about. His Hooks are a huge weakness too.

Kendrick i feel is better than J Cole but he also can be boring like the sound just isn't my thing.

Now a new Artist i really love and play alot is Nipsey Hussle i really enjoy his Music, Jay Rock i also like ASAP Rocky i'm digging etc

It's important to remember just cos a Rapper is emotional as you put it doesn't mean he is great at expressing those emotions or making good Music so that's my issue with Cole and Lemar.

SMH!

And this guy's not banned yet :shakehead:

So you can't comprehend that people have a diffrent taste in what you like as far as Rap? that;'s such a childish mind state to want someone banned just cos they don't like a particular style of Rap you do?

Theres over a billion people that don't like Back Pack but are you gonna be mad at people that dont like what you do? why not just like what you do and why does it bother you so much when others don't like that kinda Music?

You didn't see me try to force others not like Back Pack Rap, i explained why i don't like it cos it sounds boring to me and lacks replay value it just isn't appealing to me Musically.

This should be dope. But I wonder if this means Cole's next album won't be dropping as soon as he planned. Never got into Kendrick, but I hear a lot of good stuff about him from others. So I guess this'll give me a good chance to get into his stuff.

It's a slang term used by mainstream hip-hop listeners to insult underground artists. It's not widely used.

So in other words, she just said she doesn't like underground rappers? So even if they were the best rapper ever with the most emotional music ever, but they were underground, you wouldn't like them because of that fact Aftermathers?

There's All City Chess Club, even though they never really released anything. And Cole, Kendrick and Hopsin are not in it.

Cole actually is in it, he just wasn't on that joint.

It's called Black Hippy:

Kendrick Lamar
Ab-Soul
SchoolBoy Q
Jay Rock

Also, I don't agree with Wale, Asher, and Hopsin is kinda meh to me now. Also, Punch (a.k.a Top Dawg, the President of TDE [Top Dawg Entertainment, the label that signed the Black Hippy artists as a group and as solo acts], is a better rapper than most people in the game now a days. He just never wanted a solo career so he only appears on Black Hippy tracks here and there. TDE/Black Hippy is the future of good rap along with J Cole, XV, Childish Gambino, Jon Connor (sadly he won't ever be know past the underground), and Yelawolf. For the record, Hopsin is good but I've expressed my views on him here before. Just my opinion, don't hate :sweating: , I respect yours.

i've heard of Black Hippy, but tbh it's one great rapper with 3 average rappers to me. and check out Pabst and Jazz the mixtape by Asher.

This is going to be great. I think they'll bring the best out of each other and should broaden both of their fanbases.

Average is kind of an insult. The only one that could even have a chance of being considered average, in my opinion, is Jay Rock. Ab-Soul & SchoolBoy Q are extremely above average and have both put out classics (Habits & Contradictions & Control System) this year. Now Kendrick definitely overshadows them, but it's not a bad as Eminem overshadowing D12, 2Pac overshadowing the Outlawz, or 50 Cent overshadowing G-Unit. Black Hippy has a lot of talent, and have the potential to become one of the best rap groups while also carrying on successful solo careers. Anyway, I'll check out some tracks off that Asher mixtape later.
