I have 50 of his joints. He's a good rapper, like sometimes he can be really deep and dope, but then he has a cheap club song here and there. He isn't legend material, but he is better than most rappers. He only has two songs on iTunes, but he has a mixtape with 48 songs produced majorly by Timabaland called "The First 48." I think he left Aftermath and Timbo's label in 2011. Anyway, the cover for this mixtape is amazing, I'll have no problem putting this on my iPod. I hope the music follows suit.

I honestly think once the new generation of rap kicks in and replaces the current generation we will see a 50 Cent resurgence. Why? Well, he's affiliated with everyone that's going to be anybody in the future, and he is friends with Kendrick Lamar, the inevitable king of the new generation. Aftermath Entertainment will be the best label rap has ever seen if Kendrick Lamar gets the right promotion. They will be forever relevant because of Kendrick Lamar and Eminem, I don't see 50 Cent fading any time soon unless he does something stupid to screw up the perfect position he's in. In summary, 50 Cent will only gain relevance, and if he doesn't it's his game to lose.

Just gave 50's "The Big 10" and other non-album releases from the past 2 years another listen. A lot of good music. I would expect 50 to have saved the great tracks for his coming album (this summer?) though, so I don't expect this mixtape to be anything spectacular, but hopefully entertaining.

Oh, and the mixtape is supposed to be released within an hour (3pm EST).
