If Em released an album in 2003.

Postby infinite2hts » May 18th, '12, 07:27

Do you think if Eminem would've put out an album in 2003 it would have joined the holy trinity of sslp, mmlp, tes. i mean people say that Em was untouchabe only during 1999-2002 period. But if we see some of his work in 2003 (i.e We All Die One Day, Don't Push Me, Patiently Waiting, Go To Sleep, The Sauce, Nail In The Coffin to name a few). He was still in the beast mode. How you think the album would've sounded like? I think it would've definately be an instant classic. Too bad he started promoting his Shady Records artists during that time. FUCK 50 & OBIE.

He didn't necessarily fall off near 2004, internet piracy caused him to revamp Encore and rush some new songs out, which resulted in the album that he released.

I think an album in 2003 would have been considered a classic, it's just that I don't know what he would rap about. I feel like he waits a year or two for the reactions he gets, then makes records off of that.

"Patiently Waiting" and "Don't Push Me" have some very excellent verses.. now I'm starting to wonder how a 2003 album would have sounded. :-k

2003 album (based on the songs/verses he released then) could have been one good ass album.

There were a lot of great features that year, Nail In The Coffin and Bully to.
Fuck top five, bitch, I'm top four
And that includes Biggie and Pac, whore
And I got an Evil Twin
So who the fuck do you think that third and that fourth spot's for?

Shit, I want someone in an interview to ask if he remembers why his music and overall character had morphed into what it did around 2003.

I hated his "gangsta" songs. He was always talkin' about guns and it was just so.. boring.

That's why I like Encore. It was refreshing from that phase. He went back into it though when he got addicted after Encore. Pistol Poppin' :facepalm

Watch out...when Eminem gets off probation in April, there's gonna be hell to pay. He will cap you.

That song he did with Trick Trick, too. :facepalm

Someone should just make a thread of why his gangsta phase was so terrible.

Because he isn't a gangsta, he's a short, skinny white guy who gets beat up by his wife. :shifty:

would have been a great album IMO, I sometimes wonder what one of his albums would be like if he made it in the stage that he was completely on drugs, doubt it would be that good just because of seeing him fucked up in that MTV interview, but who knows some people say that you write better while on drugs. Idk. I think its good that he stepped away from rapping and came back with a new insight to the game, his style has changed but thats not neccessarily a bad thing, sorry for strayying off topic! 2003 album would be dope!

That's what Encore is, but if you're talking about 2006-2007 King Mathers-era imagine Syllables, GOAT, Ballin Do Me, with some Just Lose It &Mockingbird-esque tracks thrown in. In other words, 0/10 complete shit album.

If he released an album in 2003 it would've got overshadowed by 50's album I think.

But quality-wize, I think I would've liked it.
