Kanye Announces Cruel Summer Film & Album

In a press release it was revealed that Mr. West’s upcoming G.O.O.D. Music compilation will be called Cruel Summer, and a film inspired by it will debut May 23 in Cannes. After the premiere, the flick will be open for public access for the next two days. Tickets will be available here.

I'm convinced that this will be AOTY and its only competition is Food & Liquor 2 and I'm sure that these two albums will completely wipe-out SmokeOut Conversations, but the question is..

Can the movie "Cruel Summer" match the life-changing experience that is Runaway?

Sounds more like your tryin' to convince yourself, these albums should be promising though. TBH Mercy was horrible but catchy and I can't really judge Lupe until May 22. Also, what did you think about Smoke Out Conversations? I thought it was slightly above average, nothing special. I dunno why people on here made such a big deal about it, maybe if you tell me I'll understand (not being sarcastic). In terms of this being better than Runaway? I doubt it, but we'll see.

@name - That's like the post of the year man, awesome reasoning. As for this album, I'm definitely excited. This year is the most enthusiastic I've been for new music since 2007. I won't be listening to any leaks, and wait for my copies to arrive and enjoy them fully. And if GTA V drops this year, then it's safe to say that 2012 is going to be my favorite year of my life as far as witnessing pop-culture goes. And it's been awesome on a personal level too.
