He didn't necessarily fall off near 2004, internet piracy caused him to revamp Encore and rush some new songs out, which resulted in the album that he released.

I think an album in 2003 would have been considered a classic, it's just that I don't know what he would rap about. I feel like he waits a year or two for the reactions he gets, then makes records off of that.

"Patiently Waiting" and "Don't Push Me" have some very excellent verses.. now I'm starting to wonder how a 2003 album would have sounded.
