So this is it then...? I can't even explain the magnitude of the pain I'm feeling right now.. it hurts so much to see such a LEGEND, a GOD, a LEADER leave the club. At least he got to leave the best way possible, his last shot was the most important strike in the history of Chelsea. Tears are streaming down my face as I'm typing this, I'm THAT attached to King Drog and I'm not ashamed to admit it.

He has immortal status now, I'm grateful to have witnessed his presence in my lifetime, in MY club. Statue for our KING! In the middle of London!

Fuck me. :'(

He definitely deserved the cup.

So I read this post, googled it and saw on Wikipedia he was born in 1978.

What the fuck? I thought he really was under 30. He's actually only two years younger than Ronaldo. Damn, Drogba. Glad you won it at least once. :worship:

Drogba started playing high-level football at the age of 25-26, that's the main reason he still delivers.

He probably wants to win the CL before he leaves.

About Drogba, I am reading today that his agent is denying that Drogba has spoken out about leaving the club.

I guess he'll cheapen his career by going to China. One last pay cheque I suppose.

I'll never forget that one season he had in the league where he was virtually unplayable.

This was a good time for Drogba to move on. He's been a sensational player and we owe so much to him.

Really? I swear people want a statue for anyone who's stayed at a club longer than 5 years these days. I know he's done a lot but a statue? Come on.

I haven't forgiven him for that double against us in the Uefa Cup semi-final. That flick on O'Brien. Fuck. If Woodgate had been playing that day I think we would have got to the final.

But if we analyse the most successful Chelsea side in HISTORY which won the champions league AND has had significant domestic sucess in the last 8, only 3 players can make a legitimate claim:-

Frank Lampard
John Terry
Didier Drogba.

Now, the former 2 were captains and had great consistency with the team heavily relying on the often but i think Terry loses his place with all the off-field antics and the chocking (Last final penalty miss, inexplicable foul against Barca) and Lampard, while effective has always seemed to pale in Drogba's glory. If we are to look at all the cup competitions he has done EXTREMELY well (equaliser and winning penalty this year, goal against Spurs, F.A. Cup goal against United.... list is LONG). IMHO, if anyone at Chelsea deserves it, its him.

No one has ever brought what DD has for the club, he is the one who deserves it most. I know that 8 years is a relatively short period of time, but in the course of these 8 years Chelsea has become what it is today. Drogba is the main reason for that.

An extremely interesting article regarding how Chelsea's finances have benefited from the CL win, and how it would have been if we lost to Napoli.

What do you guys think of Neymar? To be quite honest, I get so sick of seeing his name :facepalm

I don't like him at all.. Everyone is acting like he's the best player in the world, especially the youngsters. Watch him totally flop when he comes to Europe.
