How can hip-hop be dead if Wu-Tang is forever?

Every single artist in his list is black. Except for MJ.

(and Bob James but then the joke doesn't work. It's close enough so, shhh.)

I'm talking reeaaal old-school, MMLP & SSLP were old-school sounding but they came out when Nas had already built a name for himself.
These choices were for the albums that influenced him either in lifestyle or in his music.

I would have been surprised if he had Em on that list tbh.

I dont think nas has every said anything about em could be wrong i know his manger or someone did i think i remember a while back saying em should won album of year for recovery.

Nas has talked about Em.

Just before Em returned in 2009, he said this:

Nas wrote:I think that's one of the most exciting things hip hop can look forward to (Em's return). He contributes so much lyrically and musically, he's amazing.

Somebody also asked him what he thought of Em, on Twitter. And he replied:

Nas wrote:I think what every1 prob thinks about Em...Emcredible!

And he called Em 'that dude' in an interview he did talking about "The Cross" (produced by Em).

I'm actually surprised that he didn't have a 2Pac album, given that Nas has come off as a big fan through out the years. I definitely didn't expect to see an Eminem album, and you shouldn't expect to see one mentioned by any older heads either. Em is very under-appreciated if you look at it like that, in fact, outside this forum many people would laugh at the possibility of TES being the greatest Hip-Hop album. Or even one of them.

Well Nas has in the past that his favorite albums are constantly changing and depends on his moods at the time. Remember when Tyler the Creator interviewed him for XXL last year?........And he was mentioning John Lennon's "Shaved Fish" album to a be an album that he was really loving.
