I feel like he occasionally bumps The Marshall Mathers LP when in the studio, and sometimes maybe even The Slim Shady LP.

No evil thoughts? lmao where do these perceptions come from.

I always say people say things like The Eminem Show is soft, or that Recovery is 'happy Em'...

Really? :confusion: are people listening to the same music I am :confusion:

There are plenty of angry, angsty, psycho, ballsy thoughts on both albums.

In fact he sounds more happy on The Slim Shady LP. He's mostly just sarcastic and jokey on that where as on The Eminem Show and Recovery he's fuelled, and sounds pissed off.

He said in an interview a couple of years back that the MMLP was the closest he came to making the "perfect record", or words to that effect.

I wouldn't take what he said about TES in 2002 as seriously. He was probably promoting the album when he said that.

No sorry I was getting it mixed up, it was actually Dre that said it in an XXL interview, "I don’t feel like I’ve made my best record yet. The Marshall Mathers LP got the closest, but I don’t feel like I’ve hit that thing just 100 percent perfect."

Dunno why I thought it was Em. I haven't read the one you guys are talking about though...

Haha that's true. I remember an interview that he said The Eminem Show was the best record he's made so far. He was riding in a truck to go buy it and he said in the same interview that he gets $1 for every record sold.

it's the only album that he has yet to make a criticism about. This and Recovery.

/thread

You know TES is 10 years old? he have released three albums since then, so it doesn't have to be his favorite album now. :coffee:

I think Recovery is his favorite album because he got a lot of shit off his chest, as well as being his "feel good album" coz he be soberz yay!
