Girls, Girls, Girls
You Don't Know
Song Cry
The Dynasty
Breathe
PSA
I Really Mean It (Amazing beat, one of the best I've ever heard)

^ Just a few more Just Blaze bangers to add to the OP

I think he's a quality producer, I couldn't rate him up there with RZA, Primo, Dilla, 'Ye, Madlib, Kno, Dre, etc, for one main reason; He hasn't produced a great album in it's entirety, which all the guys I listed have done (multiple times). I think that's a real indicator of a producers ability

But, pick you're 10 favourite Just Blaze beats and I guarantee they hold up against pretty much anybodys
Same sword they knight you they gon' good night you with
Sh.., Thats' only half if they like you
That ain't even the half what they might do
Don't believe me, ask Michael
See Martin, see Malcolm
You see Biggie, see Pac, see success and its outcome
See Jesus, see Judas; see Caesar, see Brutus
See success is like suicide
Suicide, it's a suicide
If you succeed, prepare to be crucified

name wrote:You're pretty much right. The closest thing we might get from a Just Blaze-produced album is Saigon's The Greatest Story Never Told, which had crazy production overall. He's like the Andre 3000 of producers I guess.

TGSNT was a really good album, I think it would have made much more of an impact if it dropped around 2006-2007 as it was meant to, but hearing it in 2011, while still dope, it didn't sound too fresh

This thread actually reminded me of this; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6LV_nSmrmnI

Some of the beats here seem good.

And I've heard some decent production from him but, it's a shame he didn't provide that sort of quality / sound for Recovery. All his stuff on there sounds clangy / cheap / cheesy to me.

I have listened to some of these beats and you are right, he is good. His use of guitars is actually very consistently done well (The Champ, Battle Cry) and the sample in Ignorant Shit is fucking CLASSIC!

I've just noticed now how this forum discusses producers very little. Almost ddnt see this topic. It would be AWESOME if we kept this thread- viewtopic.php?f=6&t=143918 running.

He's dope. Dear Summer is my favorite beat from him. That atmosphere is amazing.

Just Blaze is the GAWD.

Even some of the Recovery beats were dope. Cold Wind Blows was one of the best beats I've heard Em on.
