Idk, the albums this year aren't really hitting with me like other years...I guess Kickin' & Screamin' so far.

Scratch my past answer, it's now a tie between:

Ab-Soul - Control System
Big K.R.I.T. - Live from the Underground

Smh at The People's Rapper LP. That's a mixtape, man.

I think Live from the Underground was missing that wow factor, however it's better than most of the shit released this year. Again the only two pivotal records so far for me are:

1.) Control System - Ab-Soul
2.) Habits & Contradictions - Schoolboy Q

However if I were to go after and was able to include EP's and mixtapes

3.) Klusterfuk - Tech N9ne
4.) Live From the Underground - Big K.R.I.T.
5.) Slumdon Bridge - Ed Sheeran & Yelawolf
6.) The People's Rapper LP

I'm really looking forward to Kendrick Lamar's debut, his joint album with J Cole, Schoolboy Q's debut, Ab-Soul's follow up, Jay Rock's second album, Yelawolf's many projects, F&L 2, Jay-Z's album possiblely, Slaughterhouse's album, Joe Budden's album, Detox (?), Kanye's sixth, and I'll check out G.O.O.D. Music's album (Cruel Summer), Eminem's 8th album, 50 Cent's, and whatever else comes up. I have a lot more on my list like Kid Cudi's, etc. it's a long list...

Edit: How could I forget, supposedly that Black Hippy album might come out this year. Fingers are crossed but that album will be GOAT and an instant classic if they all do what they are doing now, but trust me, they only progressively get better, not worse. I view their albums in generations and this last generation > *

-Typed on my phone so expect it to be hard to follow.
