I realize it's an Eminem forum, but there barely seems to be any discussion on the hip hop world.

No one's talking about The Stoned Immaculate, Control System, the "Mercy" video, like come on!

Honestly, not a lot of people here are really hardcore hip-hop fans. That's why you don't see discussion of The Stoned Immaculate, etc. A lot of users don't venture outside the Eminem sections, and it's sad.

i pretty much listen to ice cube, dr dre, eminem, hospin, royce, tech, B.o.B., and obie. thats it really, maybe a little jedi mind tricks here and there and a couple immortal tech songs but nothing more

EDIT: recently started listneing to Johnny Cash, holy fucking cunt nipples this guys is a legend for a reason. i know he's not hip hop though :/

Well, i dont get excited by "new" or "underground" talents easily so people like Schooboy Q, Ab-soul, Currency, 2 chains (he's wack), Evidence, Danny Brown, Tyler the Creator and the like rarely get listens from me. Even when i do (Control System, Goblin) i dont see the hype so i prefer not to comment rather than shit on good music.


That said, of course i'm a hip-hop fan. I just prefer to listen to good mainstream stuff- Tech n9ne, Kanye, Jay Z, Eminem, Drake, Kendrick Lamar and one or two underground cats who for one reason or another are impressive like John Connor and Hopsin.

I know, it might be a little hard to tell. I mean he and FreeSpeech don't dick ride Kanye to the fullest extent or anything. They're very practical fans and don't take their praise too far, and they are definitely not Stanyes (funny how I pronounce it as stain).

I'm a fan of hip hop, basically all of my iPod is hip hop...but most of the discussion outside of Eminem here is about Kanye...the rest is just a one or two-post thread and everyone forgets about it.

Not necessarily, I am not a fan of Curren$y. I knew he released some new shit, but didn't check it out because I am not a fan in the first place.

However, it is sad that many members here have the Em section bookmarked and don't surf around this forum.

Yeah, my post was using sarcasm, but I realize it was hard to detect on the Internet. Also, I'm no a a fan of Curren$y, but I checked it out. It's really boring and an overall weak release in my opinion, which is why I never discussed it on this forum.

I only really use this forum for specific Eminem discussion, especially since on other hip hop forums it's difficult to have a discussion about him. For hip hop in general, I prefer KTT.

Like, for example, the Nicki Minaj vs. DJ Flex incident from last week, hardly anybody here was discussing it, but on another forum I go on there was a massive thread with like 200+ pages about it, so obviously I posted there instead when I wanted to talk about it.
