Hopsin dissed Tyler and had a verse on Tech's album, thats the sole source of his hype outside of his hardcore fans. Dont be delusional now. He's also on his third album...

You'd be surprised at the number of Juggalos and teenagers who listen to Hopsin. He has a huge following. Or were we talking commercially? If so, then yeah he doesn't touch them.

Both, Meek is way bigger regardless. As for commercially, FV has no distribution deal I know of. I saw a tweet of Dizzys album being sold in a Cali gift shop LOL. Cmon. Even Mellowhype had their album in Best Buy. Hopsin is an internet rapper.

I'm not denying that at all. What I'm saying is, Hopsin following is about the size of Meek's because all the OF haters (who listen to rap), Juggalos (that's a lot of people), and people who just like his music. Although Meek is much bigger commercially (it's no contest.. at all), he doesn't have the fans like the rest of dude's he rapping with (like on Roc or MMG).

The only way Hopsin will have commercial/mainstream success is if:

a) Ditches the contacts (He'd need to neutralise his image)
b) Sing more (He actually has a good voice, this would also help achieve the above)
c) Work with other producers (His own production is likely alienating to 90% of mainstream fans)

No, dont you remember why Eminem became popular in the first place. Its about the image, and the aggressive/psycho image has a very large market. Also, people are talking about promotion; what promotion, no label means no promotion thats how it works.

At my school Hop has a good number of fans, just throwing that out there; not like any of them will actually buy the album besides me -_-
