Section.80 - Kendrick Lamar
Control System - Ab-Soul
Habits & Contradictions - Schoolboy Q
Follow Me Home - Jay Rock
Overly Dedicated - Kendrick Lamar
Long Term Mentality - Ab-Soul
Setbacks - Schoolboy Q
Pineapple Now-Later - BJ the Chicago Kid
Cole World - The Sideline Story - J Cole
Live from the Underground - Big K.R.I.T.
The Slumdon Bridge - EP - Ed Sheeran & Yelawolf
Klusterfuk - EP - Tech N9ne
WZRD - Kid Cudi
Breakfast - Chiddy Bang

I only listed albums and EPs that you can buy, if you want I could suggest some amazing mixtapes. If you like these I can suggest more as well.

You really buy your albums?

I suggest you check out...

Fear of God II - Pusha T
Section.80 - Kendrick Lamar
The Stoned Immaculate - Curren$y
Control System - Ab-Soul

WZRD is not really my cup of tea, but you can check it out if you want. You should also listen to Pusha's "Exodus 32:1" to see if he's your style.

But yeah... that's all I got.

If you want some not-so-recent albums, I suggest:
Finally Famous - Big Sean
Hell Hath No Fury - Clipse
The Documentary - The Game
The Black Album - Jay-Z
Stankonia - OutKast
Graduation - Kanye West

Just some essential hip hop albums. You can check out Kendrick's Overly Dedicated as well, I guess, but I'm not really a fan of it as much as I am of Section.80.

So, yeah.

Cosign, I buy from the artists I respect. Put some money in the pockets of talent if you want their product to continue being up to quality. This is the reason why everyone should buy TDE's CD's. :D

Anyway, I got an autographed physical copy of Section.80, and I'm going to get one of Habits & Contradictions and Control System once I get the money. Now that I think about it, I've bought two copies of Section.80, and it was damn worth every cent. Hell, I'd buy it a third, fourth, and fifth time.

Finally, who doesn't own All 6's and 7's? Haha. But, dude, definitely check out all of the CD's I suggested. If you like them, please buy them to support these guys.

I got an autographed copy son!

Actually I have an autographed copy of HeartBeat too.

Chill, pics? I got on of Section.80 like I mentioned before but I know you don't like Black Hippy :(

I liked Kickin' & Screamin' but I haven't checked out HeartBeat because I've been bumming Control System, Habits & Contradictions, Pineapples, Now-Later (it's an R&B album with some hip hop tracks), Live From the Underground, and Late Registration. I'll get around to it eventually though. Is it worth the listen?

Geno wrote:HeartBeat is AMAZING man. It's better than anything I've heard this year so far, no lie. She's a true lyricist. Check this track out:

Train of Thought - and this isn't even the best track.

Also, my copy hasn't came in the mail yet..actually it probably has, but I haven't checked in a minute. When it comes I'll take pics of both. :y:

That's actually dope, yeah I'll definitely check it out soon. Also, I know you're not a fan of the Black Hippy movement but you respect lyricists. Kendrick Lamar, Ab-Soul, and Schoolboy Q are killing it lyrically and musically. Maybe you'd like this track from Control System: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N9YnuNFIlA4. If not you might love this one from Section.80 (GOAT song on a GOAT album): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sBvngg87998. Anyway, I'll definitely check out HeartBeat next week once I get out of school.

Geno wrote:Honestly I'm not feeling Kendrick at all on that first song. He's really...boring lol. So is Ab Soul. Onto Schoolboy Q now and he's more entertaining but, and maybe it's just the song, but I'm really bored listening to this. Jay Rock is good though. I mean, it's not a bad song but it's overall underwhelming with the names on the song. You'd expect it to be better.

Hate the beat on the 2nd song but the verses are really well written. It's something I'd like to hear remixed with a beat more suitable to my aesthetic taste and I'd play it all the time.

Oh, I got you. I really liked the energy on the first song I showed you, I liked their chemistry and thought it was funny as well, but everyone has different tastes. For example, I like the beat on Rigamortis, but you don't and that's fine. I still think it's dope. Hmmm, I'm trying to think of a song you will like. Black Hippy is very diverse and has a lot of emotions, material, and sounds so they can appeal to a lot of people. These are the last three I will suggest then I'll leave you alone: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LGRHKwFHvNM, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4JeGnKu0tP8, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TNpcN_iQszk

I ain't really feelin the sample on the hook... but that's kind of nitpicking. He's good on here for sure.

I guess someone uploaded all of HeartBeat on YouTube (it wasn't last I checked). Check this one:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4PjmG8asl7s

Awesome

I'll have to check it in the morning becuase I got to do my final exam project for English. I put it off all night, anyway if you like the style and overall sound Kendrick Lamar presented on Determined you will most likely love the "Kendrick Lamar - EP." I think that would be a good starting place for you if you want to get into Kendrick.

Edit: I listened to the sing, it's dope but I liked the other one better. However, it's got a motivational yet chill vibe to it.
