Dissapointed in Interscope though... How good 50's music is, is subjective. But 50 will still sell some 300-500k regardless. Which is more than the great majority of other hiphop artists.

I suspect the Slaugtherhouse pushback(s) has caused a chain-reaction, and is thus pushing back future Shady projects (incl. this one...). Which is a shame... Get your act together Shady Records/Interscope/Slaugtherhouse.

Who said anything about what the album sells in its first week? I was talking about what really matters, the final sales (that is what the lables really cares about). First-week sales is just a pissing contest basically - having a good one might give you some good publicity. I mean, Adele's "21" sold some 300k (if I remember correctly) in its first-week in the US, but is soon at 10,000,000.

And I emphasize "regardless", because if 50 has a massive hit and manages to gain buzz, he will sell more, but 300k he'll do regardless. Or well, it's been a while who knows, but that's my guess. (If it's independent it's a different situation though).

What album are you referring to? Or are you even responding to my comment?

My guess is Adele's "21" album. However, that album is as far as I know (looking at RIAA's database) only certified 9x Platinum (March 30, 2012).

In any case, I was commenting the album's SoundScan-sales (i.e. the over-the-counter (US) sales that is reported each week through Billboard, not shipments).

... On-topic again, though;

50 has made Interscope A LOT of money, more than most artists in the past decade. They should not be so fuckin greedy, let the man release his album, he's been wanting to put it out for a year soon?...

He's got plenty of money and he pobably gets tons of money from his headphones and energy drink and whatever else he has going on, and he's on a philanthropic kick lately. He might want to just not deal with labels at all anymore and quit, devote more time to SK.

Please don't joke about that lol. An Adele feature would be cool I guess, but ADK can fuck off. Em should produce the song, he's good with rock-ish beats and those types of beats would suite Adele probably really well.
